How to Smoke a Holiday Ham + Ham & Cheese Omelette Recipe
The holidays are here! What does that mean for us? That means lots of yummy meat dishes and plenty of leftovers we’ll be using for recipes. With our big family, Frank and I have invested in an additional freezer that we keep out in our garage. Buying meat for a large family can get pretty expensive, so whenever we see a good deal on meat, we stock up and store it in the extra freezer.
Last week, we headed to our Save Mart in search of meats for the holidays. The first thing I do when I go to the grocery store is look over the weekly ad. The Buy One Get One Free, Mix or Match, Sale was on the first page. Save Mart had an awesome sale on their meat selections, including Riverside or Honeysuckle White Frozen Turkeys, Cooks Ham Portions, Master Cut Beef Cross Rib Roasts, Pork Shoulder Roasts, and Honeysuckle Turkey Breasts. What a great selection!!!
In order to get the Buy One Get One Free deal, you do need to spend at least $25. I couldn’t believe the deal we got with all the coupons we had! We had a lot of coupons to use on this trip and ended up spending only $46.26 on over $177.00 worth of groceries. This was my biggest ever couponing experience!
Once we got home, we put away our groceries and stored our turkey in the freezer in the garage. We kept the ham in our refrigerator because we would be smoking it this weekend. I couldn’t wait to taste the flavor and juiciness that comes with a smoked ham.
