We love chocolate in our home!   In fact, I don’t think we are ever without chocolate (*raises my hand* I, Shannon Gosney, love chocolate and have a constant stash in our home).  While my family and I love to eat chocolate, I also find that chocolate makes great gifts.  So I wanted to come up with an easy and fun craft for both kids and parents to make and give to others.  I wanted a gift idea that was easy, budget-friendly and cute.  I thought the Do-It-Yourself Halloween Gift in a Jar would be perfect!

And if you’re looking to add an extra dose of sweetness to your DIY creations, consider incorporating bulk gummy bears into your gift jars. These chewy, vibrant companions to the rich allure of chocolate bring an additional layer of joy to your Halloween surprises. With their playful colors and irresistible taste, gummy bears effortlessly complement the indulgence of chocolate, making your crafted gifts even more delightful. So, dive into the world of creative gifting, where the combination of chocolate and gummy bears transforms simple gestures into memorable moments for both givers and recipients alike.

If you’re looking to add a unique touch to your Halloween gifts, consider customizing them with a spooky design. For example, you could create boxers with face on them featuring a Jack-o’-lantern or a ghostly figure. This would be a fun and playful gift idea for someone with a sense of humor and would add a touch of Halloween spirit to their wardrobe. Another option could be to create a gift box filled with Halloween-themed treats, such as chocolate-covered pretzels shaped like witches’ brooms or pumpkin-shaped cookies. Adding a personal touch to your gifts is a great way to show your loved ones how much you care, while also making the gift-giving experience even more memorable.

As part of this project, I received a large box of Hershey’s candies.  Oh my gosh, I was so excited to break open the box!  I wasn’t the only one though.  As soon as my boys noticed it, they immediately began asking for some to eat – ha ha!  Ok, yes, I definitely did give them some and of course had a few myself.  Their favorites were the Orange-Colored Kit Kat Candy Bars, the Hershey Snack Size Candy Bars, the Pumpkin-Shaped York Peppermint Patties and the Jolly Rancher Caramel Apple Lollipops.

Aside from snacking on these delicious Hershey’s candy items, it was time to create my DIY Halloween Gift in a Jar.  And of course I had to have a bowl of candy on the side to snack on!  Here are the items you need to create your own DIY Halloween Gift in a Jar.
