Uncrustables Unstoppable Giveaway

Families that play together…families that work together…families that grow together – these are a few of the qualities that we would like our unstoppable family to have.  I love that our family has grown from 4 to 8 in the past two years and embrace any opportunities we have to strengthen those family bonds.  I always wanted 4-6 children and now Frank and I have 6 children – each of us bringing 3 to the table.  Yes, I know…that’s like the Brady Bunch!  Ha ha – but I do love it!

I think that family goals are really important to have and help to build a family’s bonds.  Not only are goals important for an unstoppable family have, but so are family activities and dreams.  When we talked about things we wanted to do, the kids immediately said they wanted to go camping again.  You see, we have a family trailer and the kids LOVE to camp in it!  In fact, Frank has a membership to a camping organization and the camp site we go to has a pool, mini golf, scavenger hunts, hiking trails, and more!  We will definitely be going camping in the near future.

Welch's Family Moments

Another family goal we have is to sit together at the dinner table each night.  Not only does this give us a chance to relax after the day’s activities and work schedules, but it also gives us a chance to talk and get to know one another better.  It helps us to build our family bonds and make good memories together!

Uncrustables Unstoppable Families

We’ve also been trying to spend more time participating in outdoor or creative indoor activities together.  It has been fun to see how creative the kids (and grownups) can be.  We’ve made paper airplanes together, gone swimming together and even attended blogging events together!  Making family memories and spending time together having fun makes us an Unstoppable Family all the way!

Right now my kids and I are getting fit together (well let me say I’m getting fit and they’re on board because they’re already pretty fit) I bought the P90x workout system and got it in the mail last week. So far my daughter and I are doing ours together and my two boys are doing theirs on their own. (The boys laughed too hard and cut up too much when we started the first day so my daughter and I banished them) So far so good I really want to get back in shape after having knee surgery a couple of years ago and letting myself get out of the habit of keeping fit.

  59. Eileen Richter says:

After being within “the world” of technology, working, hurrying…our family has purchased some land a while back to have as recreation. What we found though is that that land has unlimited possibilities to help us stay healthy. Of course the lay of this 50 or so acres gives us a stepping stone to health by hiking, hunting, camping and clearing land for gardens. The problem is that there is not water there. We would like to get a well dug in order to supplement rain water. In the past our gardens have not done well due to drought. We have some health issues in our family and hope to be able to grow most of our food someday and do so without chemicals and fertilizers. Hard work, YES, but worth it! This might include getting a tiny green cabin of sorts out there, including wind power to live out there someday. Raising our own chickens for eggs, and possibly other food sources. I grew up on a farm and vowed to never marry a farmer.. Now my husband is dabbling in farming the land and has transformed from a techie addict to just loving and grooming the land. I want to go back in time when life was more simple. Sunday dinners with family, stop the racing around, and just settle down…finally.
