When your family completes a Mini™ Mission, you can earn free Scholastic books for your family and a chance to win prizes for your school and community.  Signing up for the “Every Day is a Big Day” program is simple.  Just head over to scholastic.com/minimissions to register your family for the “Every Day is a Big Day” program.  Each month, simply log in and complete a new Mini™ Mission to earn 2 free Scholastic books for your family.  When your family completes a Mini™ Mission, you are also entered into a sweepstakes where 131 prizes will be awarded to schools and communities each month.  You even download FREE monthly stories chronicling Mini’s’™ adventures against the evil Skipper.

We’re excited to get started with the September challenge!  For September, we are challenged to lace up our sneakers for 4 outdoor activities with our family.  We are planning to (1) go camping; (2) go on a family walk; (3) go on a nature hike; and (4) go on a bike in a local park.

Rewards and Prizes

Monthly Rewards for Families Include:

2 Scholastic books when your family completes each Mini™ Mission. 5,000 book sets awarded each month. *While supplies last.

Monthly Prizes for School and Communities Include:

Mini Missions:

September:  Outdoor Explorers

Objective:  Encourage families to engage in hands-on learning, and enjoy the fresh air by taking part in outdoor adventures.

Task:  Extend the classroom outdoors. Commit to 4 outdoor learning pursuits as a family and share the results.

Entry:  Complete fields to list out your 4 outdoor activities . Provide a few sentences about the experience and what your family learned. Photo or video submission is requested but not required.

October:  Creative Moments

Objective:  Encourage families to let their creative sides shine.

Task:  Engage in 4 creative pursuits as a family. Design, decorate, bake, write, sing – we want to see the results!

Entry:  Complete fields to list out your 5 projects. Provide a few sentences about the experience and what you learned as a family. Photo , video or other attachment is strongly requested but not required.

November:  Conversation Bites

Objective:  Encourage family together time during busy school mornings.

Task:  Make time to have 5 meaningful breakfast conversations before school.

Entry:  Complete fields to list out your 5 breakfast conversation topics. Provide a few sentences about the experience and what the shared time in the morning did for your family. Photo or video submission is requested but not required.

December:  Give and Get Back

Objective:  Encourage families to do something good for others.

Task:  Work together to think of ways to help others and put your ideas into action.  Complete 3 projects that give back to your community or others in need.  No action can be too small.

Entry:  Complete fields to list out your 3 projects . Provide a few sentences about the experience and what giving back to others taught your family. Photo or video submission is requested but not required.
