Featured Blogger Friday

I am so excited to have Featured Blogger Friday back!  As a blogger who’s been in the business for 5 years, I love “giving back” by putting other bloggers in the spotlight.  It also gives me a chance to get to know other bloggers out there in the ever-growing blogosphere!  Today, I’m excited to feature Chelsea, blogger and friend on Someday I’ll Learn

What is the name of your blog?  How did you come up with your blog name?

Someday I’ll Learn. My husband and I got engaged and settled down right out of college, and I was utterly CLUELESS about cooking and maintaining a home! I’d find myself constantly saying aloud, “someday I’ll learn.”

What do you talk about on your blog?

My husband and I tackle fun family activities with our toddler and baby. We’re determined to live fully with unique experiences and a joyful home life. We like offering helpful tips to other busy parents based on our own experiences. Some of my favorite topics are easy recipes and functional crafts.

How long have you been blogging?

4 years

What got you started with blogging?

One of my first jobs was editing and writing for magazines. I enjoyed it so much, I thought it would be fun to create my own online space to document all the new skills I was learning at home.

What do you love about blogging?

Writing is my dream job, and being my own boss rocks. I get to talk about my passions while connecting with like-minded people and staying at home with my kids!

What is your favorite blog post you’ve written in the past year?

I created a Homemade Orange Julius recipe that’s now one of my favorite go-to snacks. I think I’m so fond of this post because I was able to really weave in some personal memories (one of my favorite parts about writing) while also sharing a recipe that readers liked.

Tell us about you.  Do you have siblings?  Are you in a relationship or married?  Do you have children?

I grew up in Seattle with one sister and three step-brothers. I hightailed it out of the rain and headed to sunny UCLA for college, where I met my dream guy down the hall on his first day in the dorms. We now have two sons: a toddler and a baby.

Where do you live (i.e. city and state – you can limit it to the state if you want to)?

San Diego, CA

What is the best place you’ve ever traveled to?

Hong Kong. I love the diverse sights there, from the Giant Buddha to Victoria Peak and the outlying islands.

What is your favorite movie?

When Harry Met Sally

What is your favorite food?

Sweet potato fries

What is your favorite holiday?

Christmas. I hear all the cool people claim to like Halloween nowadays, but I can’t get enough of that traditional holiday cheer.

What is your favorite candy?

Dark chocolate

If you were on a deserted island, what 2 things would you have?

A machete and a photo book of loved ones

What is your favorite candy bar?

Valrhona Le Noir Extra Amer. Best chocolate in the world. I’ll admit I’m a LITTLE bit of a chocolate snob!

  1. It is interesting getting to know other bloggers. I have a few things in common with Chelsea, When Harry Met Sally is also my favorite movie, every time I watch I laugh. I also love sweet potato fries but no one else in my house does.
