IKEA Date 1

The last time Frank (aka Daddledo) and I were down in Southern California, we decided to go to IKEA to purchase some storage solutions for our home.  It was SO MUCH FUN!!!  We started with a budget-friendly lunch of Macaroni & Cheese (my request), French Fries, Meatballs and Mashed Potatoes, Water, and Candy Bars (again at my request).

IKEA Date 2

Once we finished our food, we proceeded to walk backwards through the store, sitting on furniture, beds and chairs as we went through to feel the comfortableness of each.  There was one couch we loved.  In fact, we sat on it for about 20 minutes while we downloaded the IKEA Family app on our iPhone and create a wish list of the items we’d want to get eventually for our home.  There was also a Queen Size Bed we wanted, but it was a little out of our price range at the time.

IKEA Date 3

As we were searching, we found a perfect storage set and actually ended up buying 2 – one for the Master Bedroom and one for the kids’ room.  They had 5×5 units and 4×4 units.  We bought the bigger for the kids in a dark color and the smaller one for Frank and I in white.  They look awesome!  You can even add drawers and cabinets, which is perfect because we can add these things as our budget allows.

What is your favorite thing at IKEA?

We purchased a bed and mattress for our son at Ikea. The mattress is the most comfortable one we own. I think when our mattress wears out we will be purchasing a new one from Ikea. We are really fortunate that we live so close to one, it’s just 15 minutes away from our home.
