I don’t know about you and your family, but food experiences often leave us with family memories to enjoy over the years!  I remember enjoying watermelon as a kid in the summertime – watching, with my mouth watering, as my parents sliced into that juicy, bright red watermelon.  The excitement built as he or she handed me the slice of watermelon and I got to take a huge bite of the watermelon that melted in my mouth.  You knew it was a good watermelon when you had the juice dripping down your chin!  Awww….memories.

This summer, we did a lot cooking and eating outdoors and were never without appetizers!  While I had good memories of eating watermelon as  kid, I wondered what else I could do with watermelon that family and friends would enjoy.  I sat down and brainstormed with Frank and we came up with it – Watermelon Salsa.  It was perfect!  While Frank likes spicy foods, I tend to lean more towards the non-spicy foods, so this Watermelon Salsa Recipe is gonna be mild – making it kid-friendly and mommy-friendly!  Check out how easy it is to make Watermelon Salsa.

I love watermelon in any form! I think I would skip the cilantro (for some reason it never agrees with me) and make it mild like you did. I over bought watermelon earlier this summer and juiced a bunch- goodness that was good. Now I am wanting another watermeon 🙂
