Since becoming a mom, I’ve found myself being a lot more concerned with the products I use with my kids. After learning about all of the harmful chemicals companies use to create lather, etc, I found myself searching for quality products.  Just as I was giving up on my quest, we were contacted by eco.kid to test out their products.

Why is it important to use products specifically made for kids?

Adult shampoos are too aggressive for children’s sensitive scalps. A child’s skin and scalp produces almost six times less oil on a daily basis than an adult and can be sensitive to synthetic perfumes, colors, preservatives, heavy film-forming conditioners and aggressive surfactants.

eco.kid is an organic, healthier, biologically friendlier and more effective product range formulated exclusively for the hair, scalp and skin of children aged 3 to 12 years old and so is able to help prevent common problems faced by this age group. Plus, eco.kid is ecologically responsible!

Why eco.kid?

No artificial preservatives

No synthetics

No silicone

No parabens

No sulphate

No artificial fragrance

No artificial coloring

Have you had to deal with lice yet?

No matter where you live or where you go with your kids, you will at one time or another come into contact with those devilish bugs.  Well, prevention is better then a cure.

One thing I love about eco.kid’s products, they are all designed to prevent lice from jumping on your little one’s head.  Apparently the essential oils used in the products are deterrents for those little buggers.

Did you know that it’s estimated that 6-12 million infestations of head lice occurs each year in the US among kids 3-11 years old?!?

If you kid becomes a statistic, then eco.kid has the “Lice Bomb.” “The World’s only Certified Organic Lice Treatment”, with the U.S. FDA registered Lice Bomb containing 97.5% Certified Organic Raw Materials.

eco.kid Lice Bomb is a Certified Organic which contain pure essential oils that aid in the removal of head lice and their eggs while being non-toxic and non-aggressive to kids.

What did we think of eco.kid?

All of the products had a pleasing smell to them, almost like lemongrass. The “TLD Hypo-Allergenic Wash” can be used for the body or as shampoo.  We used this as a body wash for both my daughter and son, but also as shampoo for my son.  There were ‘no-tears.’ You can use this product on any and all skin types.

We used the “Prevent” Shampoo, “Nourish” Conditioner, and “Daily Tonic” Leave-In Conditioner on my daughter’s hair.  On a daily basis, my daughter and I battle to wash, brush, and style her hair.  She has long hair that often tangles.  After one wash and using the lightweight leave-in conditioner, it was a breeze to brush and style her hair.  There were ‘no tears’ here as well.  I am very thankful to have tried these products and will continue to use them for years to come.

These sound great! I love companies that are actually mindful of what they are putting into their products and what we are putting on our children. My almost 4 year old has horrible cradle cap still. I have to be very careful what I put on her scalp or it flairs up really bad and chunks of hair will fall out. I have found that natural, organic products are absolutely necessary for her. Thanks for the review, I’d love to try this line out!
