Travel: Sheraton María Isabel Hotel & Towers in Mexico City

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to join a group of travel bloggers and visit Mexico City. It was an awesome experience and I would definitely go back again. During the trip, I stayed at the Sheraton María Isabel Hotel & Towers in Mexico City. Here’s a little about my experience.
I had not stayed at a Sheraton before, so I was looking forward to seeing what it was like in Mexico City. The Sheraton María Isabel Hotel & Towers is centrally located on Paseo de la Reforma, overlooking the famous Angel of Independence and only two blocks from the Casa de Bolsa stock exchange building. It is also only 30 minutes from Mexico City International Airport.
One thing I loved about the Sheraton María Isabel Hotel & Towers was the super soft, comfortable bed! Oh man – it was heavenly after a long day of traveling! All 755 spacious guest rooms include the new Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed and it is awesome! I also was able to connect to the hotel’s Wi-Fi. It comes with a fee, but is totally worth it!
I also love it when hotels provide Shampoo, Conditioner and Shower Gel and Sheraton María Isabel Hotel & Towers did just that! There was an assortment of toiletries at the Sheraton María Isabel Hotel & Towers, including a razor! It even came with a Loofah sealed in a package, for those of us who use those rather than washcloths.
After checking out the room, I decided to order room service. I hadn’t really eaten all day and was super hungry! I was so impressed by how quickly room service came and by how friendly they were. Plus, the food was really good – Caesar Salad, french fries, and a Corona! Perfect for my first meal in Mexico City!
The next morning, we met with the hotel’s management team for breakfast at Amici Ristorante, where we chose from an all-you-can-eat buffet. There were so many choices! This restaurant has a great view and is the perfect place to meet up with and gather with family and friends while visiting Mexico City.
While I appreciate all of the different foods and fruits of Mexico City, I was glad to see eggs, sausage, bacon and pancakes. They even had a section where you could make your own omelet with the toppings your wanted. Pretty good eats!
After dinner, Jenn and I walked around a little bit. Then we came back to the hotel and saw Mariachi Band members outside the bar, so naturally, we did what any blogger would do. We took a picture with them!
Then we decided to go into the hotel bar, order some beers, and listen to the Mariachi band. They were actually pretty cool! Then they were followed by an all-women’s band. You go girls!
Named “One of the Top 10 Hotels in Mexico City” by Latin Trade magazine in 2007, the AAA four-diamond Sheraton María Isabel Hotel & Towers offers a great location in the heart of Mexico City. The hotel has a lot of amenities! To make your stay more convenient, car rental services, a travel agency, and currency exchange are all available.
The hotel also has a Fitness Center, which is located in the lobby level and offers state-of-the-art equipment, sauna, steam bath, massage therapist, and a fully trained staff. Also available is an outdoor swimming pool and two lighted tennis courts. I really wanted a massage, but time didn’t allow for it. I even found out that you could get a massage in your room. How cool is that?
What would your favorite thing about the Sheraton María Isabel Hotel be if you visited?
Wow! That looks amazing! I’ve yet to visit Mexico, but this looks beautiful.
What a great experience! That hotel looks more like a resort then a hotel! I love the ‘extras’ like the soft bed, Mariachi Band etc. It makes your stay just that much more special! I’ve never been to Mexico. Hopefully one day I will be able to enjoy this hotel when I cog!
I haven’t been to Mexico since I was a teenager and I promise we didn’t stay anywhere this nice! What a fabulous hotel! It’s on my list of places to go!
Oh wow! That food!!! It looks so good.
Wow, it looks like a great place to stay!
I love Mexico and all that it has to offer. The Mariachi bands are one of my favorite parts about Mexico, you can hear them everywhere(:
The fruit looked absolutely amazing!
Thanks for sharing your adventure(;
Very nice. I love the mouthwash 😉
Awesome pictures. food look so good..I love Mexican food. Families and friends are very important to the Mexicans, as with most Latinos. Any excuse for a fiesta (party) will result in a gathering of friends and family dancing until the wee hours of the morning. Music and an abundance of food are the ingredients for any fiesta! Thanks for sharing….
