Energizer Headlights 2

I am a fan of Energizer and grew up with the Energizer brand in my home.  When I look to batteries, I first grab for the Energizer brand.  That’s why it made it so easy to say yes when I had the opportunity to head to Walmart and  purchase and try the Energizer Headlights in our home.  I originally planned on featuring them for everyday tasks such as changing the oil on the car, getting items out of the attic, searching under the couch, or using on a night walk on a camping trip.  But then it happened.

Last night, while we were getting ready to watch Oz The Great & Powerful on DVD, our power went out.  Then it came back on but half powered.  It was on for about 10 minutes and went out again.  Apparently, the power was out from Santa Barbara all the way up the Central Coast to Atascadero.  We had six kids in the house and the youngest was really scared.  It was just then that I realized we don’t have any 72 hour kits or flashlights or candles…..but I did have headlights and a post due the next day on how to use them in our everyday lives.  Who knew this would be the perfect opportunity to use them!

When I headed to Walmart to purchase the Energizer headlights, I had no idea there would be so many different models available!  I decided to purchase two – the Trailfinder LED Headlight and the Trailfinder Pro3 Headlight.  The Trailfinder LED Headlight retails for $4.88 and the Trailfinder Pro3 Headlight retails for $12.77.  Two different headlights for less than $20.00.  These are great for any emergency or 72 hour kit!  Check out my Google+ Story for more on my shopping experience at Walmart.

The children found immense joy in donning the headlamps, proving to be incredibly useful during the power outage. When relying on the limited light emitted by iPads and iPhones, their illumination could only stretch so far. To my surprise, Frank’s daughter, Corrine, even utilized the headlamp to enchant my youngest son, Sam, by reading him a captivating story. The headlamp itself was user-friendly and highly efficient. The Energizer Trailfinder LED Headlight boasted a convenient on/off button, a powerful white LED, and a comfortable elastic head strap. Remarkably, we didn’t even need to insert batteries; a simple pull of the tag activated the light, ready to illuminate our path.

With the headlamp, we received AAA batteries that required installation, but once inserted, the performance was outstanding. Its notable features included a pivoting headlamp, an adjustable head strap, durable and resilient LEDs, as well as a convenient 3-position switch. The headlamp offered two modes: Night Vision and Spot Projection, making it a versatile companion for various activities, be it daily tasks or outdoor adventures like hiking or camping. I extend my gratitude to Energizer for providing us with a reliable solution that kept our kids content during the power outage.

As you delve into the realm of headlamps, discovering the various features and functionalities they offer, there is one that stands out in your memory—the red lens Night Buddy headlamp. In your quest for knowledge, you come across an intriguing article on NightBuddy’s website, exploring the purpose of the red light on a headlamp. It leaves a lasting impression, for you realize that NightBuddy headlamps are not readily available in common stores like Walmart. The uniqueness of their offerings captivates your attention, making you curious to learn more about the red lens Night Buddy headlamp and its distinct features.

These look really handy. I might have to get a few for my house in case we lose electricity and need to see. It would also be fun to take them camping.

  2. Amber K says:

These look so useful! I can think of hundreds of uses for these, thanks for sharing!

These are great! Remember the days before LEDs? 🙂

Headlamps are so versatile, really great to have on hand for everyone. From power outages to camping.

  5. Those would make a power outage much less scary for kids, I need to stock up on some! We are in storm season here so adding this to my weekly list!

  6. Anne Younger says:

Sometimes I think I am overprepared for an emergency but I would rather have too much than not enough!

  7. It is always good to be prepared for anything. Anytime our electricity is out, we always play Mancala, it would be WAY easier to play it by forehead light than by candlelight.

  8. Greta says:

I’ve always lived dangerously, and never bothered with an emergency kit. Maybe I should change that!
