Seattle's Best 1

Remember the days when you could leisurely wake up, enjoy a cup of coffee, and get ready for the day?  Well, those days are long gone!  Now, the mornings consist of waking me up, waking the boys up, getting breakfast on the table, lunches made, kids dressed and ready for school, and then finally heading out the door to go to school.  It can be a little crazy sometimes!  So, I was totally up for taking back my morning!

Seattle's Best 2

This past weekend, I headed to Tehachapi to pick up Frank’s kids from school, and on the way back to Nipomo, we stopped at the Super Walmart in Bakersfield.  Let me tell you, it was one of the biggest Walmart stores I have ever been to before!  We headed to the Coffee section and picked up a few packages of the Seattle’s Best Coffee packages.  I loved how they had a variety of the coffee packages.  See my Google+ Story for more about our shopping experience.

On our shopping trip, we picked up a bag of the Seattle’s Best Level 1 (Light & Crisp) and a bag of the Seattle’s Best Level 2 (Medium-Light & Lively) coffees.  We also picked up a few packages of muffins for the kids, including the Double Chocolate Muffins and Blueberry Muffins.  Since it was Walmart, there were a few other things we purchased as well.

Seattle’s Best has different levels of coffee, which I love!  There are some people who love their coffee strong, while others (like myself) love their coffee to be light and lively.  With Seattle’s Best Coffee, you will find five Levels that span the full range of flavor, from lightest to darkest.  You can go up or down the scale to discover your ideal Level.  Then sit back and enjoy the coffee that is perfect for you!   My favorite flavor is the Seattle’s Best Level 2 – Medium Light & Lively.  Although I did pick up a bag of the Level 1 to give that a try as well.  I love how crisp and light the flavor is!  Not too weak, but not too strong either.  I will definitely be picking up more bags of the Seattle’s Best Coffee in the future!

So, earlier I mentioned that I wanted to take my morning back.  How did I do this?  For starters, I set out the necessities for making coffee in the morning.  This included setting the Automatic timer on the coffee maker so it would start brewing the coffee in the morning.  I had the filter, coffee, and water ready to go.  Then I set out the bag of Seattle’s Best Coffee (in case I wanted more), creamer, sugar, and mug so I had everything ready for me to make my cup of coffee.

The next thing I did was set out the bowls, spoons, and napkins for the boys for breakfast in the morning.  I also set out the boxes of cereal they could choose from.  In the morning, I would set out the milk when I was making my cup of coffee.  They were all ready to sit down and enjoy a breakfast together for school.

The final thing I did was make Brian and Dallen’s lunches ahead of time.  Their lunches consisted of a fruit juice, bag of crackers, Gogurt, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or cheese and crackers.  I wrote their names on their lunch bags and put them in the fridge, so all they had to do was grab their lunches when it was time to go.

Finally, when the morning actually came, I started by enjoying some “me” time with my cup of Seattle’s Best Medium-Light & Lively Coffee.  Then it was time to get the boys up and going.  While enjoying my time with my coffee before anyone woke up, I thought to myself, “Why didn’t I take back my morning sooner?”  How will you take back your morning?

  1. What a great way to take back your morning! I definitely need to start getting a jump on mornings around here.

You look like you are radiating with coffee love!! I always try and sneak out of bed a bit early to enjoy my first cup sans kids. It only works maybe 2 out of the 7 days a week because my little ones sleep so lightly early in the morning. Everyone knows that I need my coffee to function in the morning so I at least get a sip or two before the chaos of the morning begins.
