Starbucks at Walmart – Helper Rewards & Giving Back!

Starbucks Coffee, Delicious Pairings, Gift Baskets, and Best Friends.  This past week, I had the awesome opportunity to show one of my best friends how much I appreciate her and what she does for the community.  The month of April is Starbucks’ Month of Service, in which all Starbucks partners are encouraged to volunteer and help with the community.  It is also the month that includes National Administrative Assistants Week.  As soon as I heard about this campaign, I knew exactly who I was going to reward and enjoy the Delicious Pairings together with – one of my best friends.

She works at the local prison and with that in mind, I knew I wanted to create her a gift basket with some of her favorite coffee items and a girlie coffee cup!  So, I headed to our Walmart in Bakersfield and found some of the perfect treats to fill up her gift basket.  I would be looking for the Starbuck Blonde Veranda Blend Ground Coffee and Banana Nut Muffins from the Walmart Bakery.

The first stop was the Bakery at Walmart.  I love the muffins they have!  We usually get the Double Chocolate Muffins, but this time we were also gonna be buying the Banana Nut Muffins to pair with the Starbucks Blonde Veranda Blend Ground Coffee for our Delicious Pairings experience.  A 4 pack of freshly baked muffins is made with delicious ripe bananas and walnuts and retails for $3.48.

The next stop was the Coffee section.  I couldn’t believe how many different varieties of Starbucks Coffees there were!  It took a few scans of the shelves before I spotted the Starbucks Blonde Veranda Blend Ground Coffee!  The Starbucks Veranda Blend Ground Coffee is a lighter and gentler take on the Starbucks Roast.  It’s easy to enjoy at any time of the day!  A 12 ounce bag retails for $7.88 at Walmart.

After purchasing the coffee, I shopped around the store and found some other goodies to go in her gift basket.  My idea was that she could take the gift basket to work and have it at her own desk – her own personal stash of Starbucks goodness!  I found a small container of creamer, a box of sweetener, a package of cookies that go well with coffee, and a blinged out pink coffee cup.  All of these goodies would fit into the cute basket I found at Walmart as well.  I was so excited to give her the basket of goodies!!

When I got home, I asked my friend if she could come over because I had a surprise for her.  She said sure and headed over.  When she walked in the door, I gave her a hug and then we walked into the kitchen where I presented a basket of goodies to her and told her we were gonna be tasting the Delicious Pairings of the Starbucks Blonde Veranda Blend Coffee with the Banana Nut Muffins.  She was excited to get started!

We started by brewing the Starbucks Blonde Veranda Blend Coffee in the coffee pot.  Oh man, it smelled so good when I opened the package.  I love how the coffee grounds were so light in color too!  I knew this coffee was gonna taste amazing as soon as I opened the bag.

The first thing we did was to try the Starbucks Blonde Veranda Blend Coffee by itself.  It smelled so good in the cup – I couldn’t wait to sip it.  The first sip was delicious and I immediately went back for another sip!

Next up was to pair the coffee with the Banana Walnut Muffins from the Walmart Bakery.  Oh my gosh!  What a truly delicious pairing!  The flavor of the nuts and banana definitely enhanced the richness of the Starbucks Blonde Veranda Blend Coffee.  We could definitely taste the delicate notes of soft cocoa infused with an accent of lightly toasted nuts.

After enjoying our delicious pairings, we finished by enjoying a cup of the Starbucks Blonde Veranda Blend Coffee with creamer and sugar.  We had a great time eating and catching up on the current happenings in our life.  This will definitely become a tradition for us!
