Minute Rice

We love homemade Fried Rice in our family and with the Minute® Ready to Serve Rice, it’s even quicker and easier to make!  For our recipe, we created Sweet & Sour Tri-Tip Rice Bowls.  They were super easy to make and so delicious!!!

For our recipe, we used the Minute® Ready to Serve White rice, which is a long grain natural white rice.  This white rice is great for a quick, healthy snack or mealtime side-dish.  You can cook the Ready to Serve rice in the microwave or on the stove.

Sweet & Sour Tri-Tip Rice Bowl

SWEET & SOUR TRI-TIP

– Cooked and sliced tri-tip
– 1/3 cup white vinegar
– 6 tablespoons brown sugar
– 2 tablespoons ketchup
– 2 teaspoons soy sauce
– 2 teaspoons cornstarch
– 4 teaspoons water

In a medium saucepan, combine the white vinegar, brown sugar, ketchup, and soy sauce, and bring to a boil.  Stir the cornstarch and water in a separate bowl and then add to the saucepan, stirring continuously until the mixture has thickened.  Mix the sauce with the meat in a large bowl.  Serve over homemade fried rice.
