If you know me, then you know that I’m a chocolate lover.  Heck, if  you don’t know me, but read my blog, you know I’m a chocolate lover.  So, when I learned that American Chocolate Week was the third week in March, I was on it!!!  I headed to Walmart and checked out the Delicious Pairings Demo, which featured Starbucks New Mocha Coffee flavor and Ghirardelli Chocolate.  Wow!  Let me tell you, it was amazing.

I drove to the Oxnard Walmart – one of the biggest Walmarts I think I’ve visited in a long time!  They had a huge Produce section, Grocery section, and Bakery section.  I was looking forward to shopping for my Delicious Pairings that I would share with friends.

But first, I was gonna find the Delicious Pairings demonstration and try some of the yummy Starbucks Mocha coffee.  I was stoked when I did find it….and it included chocolate!  We were going to pair the Starbucks Mocha Coffee with Ghirardelli Chocolates, in both the Milk Chocolate & Caramel filling and Dark Chocolate with White Mint filling.  After sampling the coffee, I was off to pick up some of my own Starbucks Mocha Coffee and Double Chocolate Muffins.

I headed to the Bakery first and picked out the sweet treat that would go with our Starbucks Mocha Coffee.   I found some amazing-looking Double Chocolate Muffins!  A 4-pack of Double Chocolate Muffins retails for $3.48 in the Bakery Section at Walmart.  If you can’t locate those and are looking for another baked goodie to pair with your Starbucks Mocha Coffee, be sure to look for Chocolate Donuts, Turtle Brownies, Cream Cheese Brownies, Marble Sliced Cream Cake, Chocolate Sliced Cream Cake, Atlanta Bread Brownie Bites, or Chocolate Curl Cupcakes.

Now it was time to go find the Starbucks new Mocha flavored coffee!  I headed over to the coffee aisle and picked up a package.  There were three different flavors available to choose from – Vanilla, Caramel, and the new Mocha flavor.  The Starbucks Mocha Coffee grounds retailed for $7.98 per package.  Plus, over the past few weeks, I noticed a coupon for $1.50 off a package of the Mocha coffee.  I picked up a few packages – one to share and one to keep.

I had everything I needed.  In my cart were a few packages of the Starbucks Mocha Coffee grounds, a few containers of the Double Chocolate Muffins from the Bakery at Walmart, coffee creamer and sugar.  I was all set to celebrate American Chocolate Week!

Once I got home, I was so excited to brew my very own cup of Starbucks Mocha Coffee.  I pulled out the Keurig and awaited the delicious smell of fresh Mocha coffee.  I tried it first alone and the taste was smooth.  Then I tried it with the Double Chocolate Muffin and it was like an explosion of chocolate in my mouth.  Wow!  I really loved this Delicious Pairing!!!

I even shared a package with my neighbors and they were thrilled to try it.  What a great way to start the morning!  Thank you Walmart for a great idea for Delicious Pairings.  It made it a perfect celebration of American Chocolate Week!  I think we will definitely be brewing the Starbucks Mocha Coffee and pairing it with the Double Chocolate Muffins for our next Girl’s Day In.  What a perfect combination for the chocolate lover!
