“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.”  How many times did we hear that growing up?  And how many of us repeat that same saying to our own children?  I’m sure there are a lot of us!  With a big family, we are on a tight budget, so I take advantage of good deals whenever I have the opportunity.  Right now, there is an awesome deal at your local Safeway!

Right now, at your local Safeway, Vons, Pavilions, Tom Thumb Randalls, Genuardi’s or Dominicks, you can take advantage of the Buy 4 Save $4 promotion.  You can choose from over 35 items, but remember, you must purchase 4 items in order to receive the $4.00 promotion.

I had a blast going through the store and finding all the different items I could buy with the Buy 4 Save $4 promotion!  I even told some of my friends about the promotion and talked about it in the line while I was waiting to pay.  Let’s just say that my list was shorter than what I ended up buying – but that’s normal, right (*insert laugh*).

So, what did I have in my shopping cart when I headed to checkout?  I picked up a variety of cereals, including Kellogg’s Corn Pops, General Mills Lucky Charms, a Special Edition General Mills Lucky Charms for St. Patrick’s Day, and General Mills Honey Nut Cheerios.  Normally these cereals would have been on sale for $2.99 each, but with the Buy 4 Save $4 Promotion, I got them for only $1.99 each.  And let me tell you, there were a ton of cereals to choose from!  I also picked up Jif Peanut Butter (our family’s favorite).  It was normally $3.29 but I actually got it for $2.29 with the Buy 4 Save $4 Promotion.  I also purchased some yummy Seattle’s Best Coffee, International Delight Creamer in the Cold Stone Creamery Sweet Cream flavor, SpongeBob SquarePants Fruit Snacks, Kellogg’s Nutri Grain Bars, and Nature Valley Granola Bars!  My total before the savings was $126.48 but after my savings from the Buy 4 Save $4 Promotion and my Just 4 U savings, my grand total was $78.83!!!  I saved $47.01 on this shopping trip alone – a 38% savings value!!!

My boys like to eat cereal in the morning for breakfast.  Sometimes we have eggs, other times we have muffins, but usually it’s cereal.  Sometimes they want the milk on the cereal, while other times they want the milk in a cup.  Either way, I make sure they start the day with a nutritious breakfast.  Thanks to Safeway, they can have a nutritious breakfast for a fraction of the cost with the Buy 4 Get $4 Promotion!

How about for the work-at-home mom, stay-at-home mom, or working mom on-the-go?  Well, if you’re like me, you are happy to start your day with either a cup of tea or coffee and a light snack, such as a piece of fruit, granola bar, or Nutri Grain Bar.  The breakfast options are endless!
