2012 was the definitely a great year of Traveling for The Mommy-Files!  I had the opportunity to visit many great places, including Orlando, Florida; Cancun, Mexico; Kansas City, Missouri; San Francisco, California; and New York City, New York.  I had amazing adventures and many memories were made.  I can’t wait to see what traveling 2013 will bring!

The valet attendant was nice enough to take a picture of me at the entrance.

I visited the beautiful city of San Francisco, California twice this year!  The first time was for Disney Pixar Press Event and the second was for the BlogHer Pro Conference.  San Francisco is a beautiful city and during this second visit, I actually drove through the city!  While I was driving, I kept asking myself, “Where are all of the hills?”  It was a super easy drive to the Omni Hotel at San Francisco, which is where I was staying for the conference.  It is an absolutely GORGEOUS hotel!

The lobby of the hotel with gorgeous Christmas decorations hung up everywhere.

I love the beautiful carpets and openness throughout the lobby.

I especially loved the Christmas tree in the lobby!!!

I pulled up to the hotel and was greeted by the parking attendant.  They were super helpful and quick to make feel right at home!  The doorman greeted me and opened the doors to the beautifully decorated interiors of the hotel.  There was a big, bright Christmas tree to my right and a beautiful staircase to my left.  The concierge was eager to help me and very friendly!  Once I was all checked in, I headed to the elevator up to my room.  I guess I was so excited that I actually forgot my key at the front desk.  Oops!  I turned around and headed back down the elevator to get the key.  When the elevators opened, the concierge was waiting with key in hand and a big smile on his face.  I have to admit I felt a tad embarrassed!  So it was back up to my room on the eighth floor I went….and boy was I glad to be checked in with the room waiting for me (before I even originally planned for it to be ready).  Early check-in is AWESOME!!!!

When you first walk into the room, there is a sitting area – complete with a couch, coffee table, chairs, desk, and a television!

I stayed in Room 820 -the James W. Marshall Suite and it was beautiful, not to mention HUGE!  When I walked through the door, there was a desk with a chair (perfect for working from the hotel room on my laptop) and a sitting area – complete with a couch, coffee table, chairs, and a television.  From there, I walked down a short hallway to the bedroom portion of the room.  The bed was so comfortable and VERY big!  The views surrounding the room were awesome!  I could see the beautifully designed buildings around us, the downtown Christmas tree, and more.

Now that I was all checked in and moved into my hotel room, it was time to head up to the BlogHer Pro Conference at one of the neighborhood hotels.  The beginning of the journey started with this picture of the trolley.  I was playing tourist and had to get a picture of the trolley, right?  Well, after walking pretty much straight up the hill, I realized how important it was to actually take the trolleys up the hills!  I’ll remember that for next time!  🙂

I received accommodations at the Omni Hotel in San Francisco for BlogHer Pro.  All opinions expressed in this post are 100% mine.
