This past Thanksgiving, Frank and I and  his kids headed down to Southern California to spend the holidays with family.  While I love my family, I still wanted to have our own personal space in the evenings.  Thanks to Hilton, we had the opportunity to experience Hotel for the Holidays!

Traveling over the holidays can be stressful, especially when you’re searching high and low for a great hotel rate.  A great way to score the hotel rooms you need this holiday season is to tap into your reward points.  The Hilton HHonors Credit Card from American Express lets you earn multiple Hilton HHonors points on every eligible dollar you spend throughout the year, and you can use those points for hotel nights for you and the family – without Blackout dates!

If you don’t already have a Card now’s the time to get one.  The Hilton HHonors Card has no annual fee and many different bonuses!  Or if you are a frequent traveler, consider the Hilton HHonors Surpass Card.  You’ll earn points faster, getting up to 12x points on Hilton spend.  New Surpass Cardmembers can also get a bonus of 60,000 points.

HAMPTON INN AT SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA

The first hotel we stayed in was the Hampton Inn at Seal Beach, California.  It was a gorgeous hotel and the staff was very friendly.  When we checked in, I immediately noticed the Hilton HHonors sign and snapped a shot of it.  Plus, they had chocolate chip cookies for the guests as they checked in.  Yummy!  After snacking on a cookie, we headed to our room with Frank’s 3 kids to rest up for the next day’s Thanksgiving festivities.

In our room waiting for us was a sweet snack basket from the Hilton Team.  There was a variety of snacks, including chips, cookies, candy, and water.  It was more than I was expecting and was perfect after our long drive down from the Central Coast.

When I stay at hotels, I always love checking out the different hand soaps, shampoos, conditioners and body washes.  The Hampton Inn at Seal Beach was stocked with lots of goodies.  Thank goodness they were because I forgot my toiletries!  Not to mention the fact that you can call the front desk for complimentary items such as razors, shower caps, and more.

In the morning, we enjoyed an amazing breakfast!  There were seasoned potatoes, eggs with ham, waffles, cereal, muffins, fruit, tea, coffee, and juice.  We definitely left with full tummies!  Best of all, it was included in our stay.

HILTON GARDEN INN AT FONTANA, CALIFORNIA

The second hotel we stayed in was the Hilton Inn at Fontana, California.  After having Thanksgiving dinner at my sister and future brother-in-law’s home in Long Beach, we headed down to the Riverside area to visit with Frank’s family.  We checked in to our hotel in the evening and found the hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly.  It was nice to climb into a comfortable bed and get a good night’s sleep before the next day’s events.

In the morning, we enjoyed a breakfast of pancakes, ham and cheese omelet, fruit and juice.  It was so good!  After breakfast, we checked out and headed off to visit with more family and friends.  Our Hotel for the Holidays was a great experience!  Not only did we get to visit with friends and family, but also we were able to have our personal space and experiences in the privacy of our own hotel room.

If you are looking to experience Hotel for the Holidays, you’ll want to be sure to sign up for the Hilton HHonors Program and start taking advantage of the benefits.

I received a complimentary hotel stay from Hilton Inn to facilitate this review.
