Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?  SpongeBob SquarePants!  On Tuesday, November 6, 2012, Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures will release SpongeBob SquarePants: It’s A SpongeBob Christmas!  It’s SpongeBob like you’ve never seen before – in a full-length stop-motion animated special!  Jingle the bells, put up some mistletoe and make a cup of cocoa because the Christmas season starts early with the DVD debut of Nickelodeon’s first-ever full-length stop-animation special, SpongeBob SquarePants: It’s A SpongeBob Christmas.  Inspired by the classic Rankin/Bass specials like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town, this new holiday classic for the entire family arrives on store shelves on Nov. 6.  This perfect holiday gift includes two MP3 compatible downloadable songs from the episode (“Santa’s Eyes” and “Hot Fruitcake”) and the exclusive Behind the Scenes Featurette.  So there’s plenty to rejoice for both new and old SpongeBob fans this holiday season!

Available for digital download via online music retailers, Nickelodeon will release the It’s A SpongeBob Christmas! album. Featuring 11 all new songs and the timeless Bikini Bottom classic, “Don’t Be a Jerk” (It’s Christmas), the album will be available Nov. 6 and retail for $9.99.

Rounding out the holiday cheer, Nickelodeon will release the Don’t Be a Jerk — It’s Christmas e-book on Nov. 15, with a limited quantity of special edition hard copies available for sale exclusively on www.NickShop.com.
