I love going on road trips!  Whether driving or sitting in the passenger seat, one thing that road trips require is comfort in your car.  Whether you have seat warmers, air conditioning, a sun roof, or a cd player, comfort in a car can either make or break a road trip.  It’s especially important when in the car with my three boys.

In March of this year, Frank and I visited Florida to attend my little sister’s wedding.  While in Florida, we rented a car – a Kia actually.  We were looking for a car that was budget friendly AND comfortable.  The Kia definitely was both!  What is your favorite car to road trip in?

When we go on road trips, I make sure to have a few of the necessities to make it a good road trip!  First, make sure you have a power outlet that works so you can keep your cell phone or iPad charged.  Second, bring activities for the kids to work on while on the road trip.  These could include crayons and coloring books, movies, and snacks for them to eat.  Third, have Ziploc storage bags on hand in case someone in your car starts to feel motion sickness.  It is much each to clean up a bag of barf than to have it all over your car.  Believe me on that one!  Fourth, be sure to have foods and drinks that don’t stain if spilled.  Fifth, have pillows and blankets so that everyone can rest comfortably when tired.

Pack plenty of food and drinks, toys for the kids, portable dvd player to keep the girlfriend happy, and an iPod with the radio hook up for me! This stuff makes all road trips seem much better!

  2. We definitely pack lots of snacks and fluids (water, juice, etc)!
That way we save money and time 🙂

Hope you’re able to do the big giveaway!

  3. Lisa Davis says:

oooh! good luck with the giveaway 🙂 We make sure we leave at a time when everyone is well rested and feeling good – hate to leave when the kids are cranky, that or we leave when they are tired so they can nap most of the way depending on where we’re going (they’re 4).

Haven’t taken a road trip since all the electronic stuff was around. We had food & drinks & books and games.
