I love food – especially good food that is budget-friendly and simple to make.  I grew up with Campbell’s soups and so have my boys, so I was really looking forward to trying out the new Campbell’s Skillet Sauces.  Let me tell you, we now have a family favorite in our home!

Our local Albertson’s (a SuperValu store) carried the Campbell’s Skillet Sauces.  I didn’t know too much about the product when I started, so the first place I headed to was the soup aisle.  I looked up and down the aisle a few times and found several other Campbell’s products, but not the Campbell’s Skillet Sauces.  It was when I headed to the Spices aisle that I found them.  The flavors included: (1) Thai Green Curry with Lemongrass and Basil; (2) Toasted Sesame with Garlic and Ginger; (3) Marsala with Mushrooms and Garlic; (4) Fire Roasted Tomato with Red Bell Peppers and Chiles; (5) Creamy Chipotle with Roasted Corn and Black Beans; and (6) Scampi with White Wine and Garlic.

The instructions on the package were super easy to read and the process was simple.  We tried the Toasted Sesame with Garlic and Ginger and it was REALLY GOOD!  Some of our kids are kind of picky and they really liked it!  In fact, I headed to the store and purchased the Marsala with Mushrooms and Garlic and the Scampi with White Wine and Garlic, so we had meals for later in the week.

All I needed for our meal was (1) Campbell’s Skillet Sauces in the Toasted Sesame with Garlic and Ginger, (2) Vegetable or Canola Oil, (3) Chicken, and (4) Pasta or Rice.  You could also add vegetables to it if you’d like.  After preparing this dish, I think we’ll add baby corns, pea pods, or even broccoli to future meals.  It was so easy and good!  Plus, preparing the meal was simple.

Step 1:  Rinse and slice 1 pound of chicken breasts into strips.  Heat water to boiling in a pot for the spaghetti.

Step 2:  Heat vegetable (or canola) oil and add chicken strips to the oil.  Cook and turn until meat is no longer pink.  Cook spaghetti in boiling water according to package directions.

Step 3:  Once chicken is no longer pink, or browned (depending on your preference), add the sauce and heat to a boil.  Reduce the heat to low and cook, covered, for 5 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.

Step 4:  Serve over pasta or rice and enjoy!!!

Be sure to check out your local SuperValu store and pick up Campbell’s Skillet Sauces today!  Believe me, your family will thank you!  Check out my Google+ Story on the path-to-purchase experience and follow Campbell’s Soups on Twitter.

I’ve never heard of this product but I would like to try several of them because they sound tasty –(1) Thai Green Curry with Lemongrass and Basil and (5) Creamy Chipotle with Roasted Corn and Black Beans; and (6) Scampi with White Wine and Garlic.
