Unilever Works to Making Life Better with Feeding America – How We Can Help Cross Off Hunger #CBias #BetterTogether
Unilever is the maker of many well-loved brands – many of which we have in our own home. Can you name a few? Brands include TRESemmé, Bertolli, Hellman’s, Lipton, Knorr, Popsicle, Country Crock, Vaseline, Axe, Dove, and many more. I had no idea until this campaign how many Unilever brands we really do have in our home!
Unilever is not only the maker of some amazing brands, but it is also a company that stands for sustainable living, a specific example of which is the Cross Off Hunger Campaign in partnership with Feeding America. Simply by purchasing brands, you and I are helping to cross off hunger! Unilever is committed to donating more than two million meals to families in need with Feeding America and every item on your shopping list counts. Show your support by adding Unilever brands to your cart next time you shop. Together we can help to Cross Off Hunger.
I had the chance to explore the Cross Off Hunger site and found it very informative. I left feeling like I could make a difference and help to Cross Off Hunger! For each section on the site that you complete, you’ll earn a hunger badge and learn how you can make a difference in your community and beyond.
There are four main sections on the Cross Off Hunger site. The first section talks about what food banks really need. Did you know that Food Banks are in need of nonperishable food and personal care items, many of which include Unilever household brands we have on our weekly shopping lists? It goes on to list the Top 10 most needed items for Food Banks. The second section will take you on a virtual tour of a food bank, where you’ll learn how food banks operate and how they help others. In the third section, you can test your Hunger I.Q. and in the fourth section, you can locate a food bank near you.
Helping Cross Off Hunger is easy and anyone can do it! I know that I’ll be purchasing more Unilever products for our family, as well as to donate to our local food drives. Be sure to follow Unilever on Twitter and Facebook.

I went to a twitter party today that talked about how 1 dollar can equal to 8 meals abroad. There are plenty of ways to help and it feels good doing it.
