On Friday, November 2, 2012, Walt Disney Animation Studios released Wreck-It Ralph in theaters.  In fact, Wreck-It Ralph opened at #1 at the box office with $49 million in sales – the largest opening in Walt Disney Animation Studios history!  Wreck-It Ralph is available in both 2D and Disney Digital 3D on the big screen.  You can find Wreck-It Ralph on Facebook and Twitter.

If you haven’t seen Wreck-It Ralph yet, you are seriously missing out!  From Walt Disney Animations Studios and Emmy-winning director Rich Moore comes Wreck-It Ralph, a hilarious, arcade-game-hopping adventure.  For decades, Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) has been overshadowed by Fix-It Felix, Jr. (voice of Jack McBrayer), the good-guy star of their game who always gets to save the day.  Tired of playing the role of a bad guy, Ralph takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a journey across the arcade through multiple generations of video games to prove he’s got what it takes to be a hero.

On his quest, Ralph meets tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch) from the first-person action game Hero’s Duty, and feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) from the candy-coated cart racing game, Sugar Rush, who may be his first real friend.  But everything changes when a deadly enemy is unleashed, threatening the entire arcade and Vanellope herself.  Ralph finally gets his chance to save the day – but can he do it in time?

OUR THOUGHTS

Between Frank, our six kids, and myself we all had a chance to watch Wreck-It Ralph in the theater and we all loved the movie!!  Some of our favorite characters in the movie were Wreck-It Ralph, Sergeant Calhoun and Vanellope von Schweetz.  Although Ralph was big and wrecked almost everything he touched, there was still the soft side of him that wanted to be loved and accepted by those around him.  We thought that Jane Lynch did a great job as Sergeant Calhoun in the Hero’s Duty Game and we all agreed that the character really looked like Jane Lynch, as did Fix-It Felix.  My favorite character was Vanellope von Schweetz!  I loved her silly personality and the candy in her hair (only in a cartoon would a mom love that)!  I could really feel her passion for racing and was excited for her as she had the chance to design her very own racecar.   I wanted to make my own racecar made of sugar!

Wreck-It Ralph was great for kids and adults!  It was full of humor that catered to everyone in the audience.  The animation was bright and colorful and everything you would expect from a Disney film.  As we watched Sugar Rush, we had the feeling that we were really there with the racers.  It was a really great movie and one we would love to add to our family movie collection.

We give Wreck-It Ralph 4 out of 4 Mommy Likeys!!!

Be sure to check out Wreck-It Ralph in theaters today!
