As a mom, I cook a lot for my family and I find that cooking meals with my boys helps to grow our family bond.  Not only does it grow the family bond, but it also gets them more interested in the foods they’re eating and gives them a sense of accomplishment.  I recently had the opportunity to contribute to Chapter 5 of an e-book hosted by Chef Boyardee and The Motherhood.  It was a lot of fun!

Tomorrow will be some more fun with a cook-along (live chat) and we’ll be focusing on Fun with Flavors.  The cook-along will be tomorrow, Thursday, November 8, at 2 p.m. ET (1 p.m. CT / 11 a.m. PT).

CHEF BOYARDEE COOK-ALONG SCHEDULE

Fun with Flavors – Thursday, Nov. 8, 2 p.m. ET

Family Traditions – Thursday, Nov. 15, 2 p.m. ET

Family Time – Thursday, Nov. 29, 2 p.m. ET

If you’d like to create your own recipe to cook with your kids, it should include one of these Chef products: Beefaroni, Beef Ravioli, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Mini-Ravioli or Pizza Kit.  If you’d rather cook an existing recipe from Chef Boyardee, you can choose one from their website: http://www.chefboyardee.com/recipes

WHAT:  A virtual Cook-Along called Fun with Flavors, part of The Little Chefs Project series on The Motherhood.

The Little Chefs Project series consists of live chats called Cook-Alongs taking place every Thursday at 2 p.m. ET until November 15th, and each Cook-Along covers a different topic around cooking with kids.   Fun with Flavors addresses how you can successfully introdue kids to new foods and encourage them to try anything from unfamiliar vegetables to new spices.

WHEN:  Thursday, November 8, at 2 p.m. ET.  It will last 30 minutes.

WHERE:  The Motherhood – here is the link to the page where the class will be held HERE

About the class: Have picky eaters? Try creating a new, quick and easy recipe WITH them!  Introduce them to fun new flavors, like dips and spices, and encourage them to help you pick ingredients and create meals. Little Chefs are more likely to eat food they helped you cook! For more tips and tricks, join us in this fun and informative Cook-Along.

To participate, just click the link above, log into The Motherhood using your member ID (if you don’t have one, it’s easy and free to sign up), and chat away in the text-based comments. We’ll also have a video feed running during the half-hour Cook-Along, so you’re welcome to show up simply to watch if you’d like!

The Cook-Along is sponsored by Chef Boyardee, and it is hosted by The Motherhood.  You can visit Chef Boyardee online at http://www.chefboyardee.com/ or on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/chefboyardee.
