In July, I had the awesome opportunity to attend a Blogging Event at the amazing Moon Palace Resort in Cancún, Mexico.  It was my first time to Cancún and I really had a great time.  I hope that some day I can go with Frank and experience the romantic side that Cancún has to offer.  I’ll be posting more articles about the beauty and fun that I found in Cancún, but this one is specifically about Cirque Dreams: Jungle Fantasy.

For a long time, I have really wanted to see a Cirque Show!  I’ve heard amazing things about the show – the costumes, the performers, the colors, just awesomeness!  Well, while I was staying at the Moon Palace Resort, I got to go to my first Cirque performance and it was AMAZING!  I would go to another one in a heartbeat!  We saw Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy.

ABOUT CIRQUE DREAMS JUNGLE FANTASY

Proclaimed “The grandest circus spectacle east of Vegas” by New York Magazine, CIRQUE DREAMS JUNGLE FANTASY has performed over 2,000 shows between 2007-2011 to an approximate audience of 3.5 million paid attendees in more than 170 cities throughout North America including a limited Broadway engagement at the Broadway Theatre. This groundbreaking theatrical, acrobatic and musical adventure was a Broadway must-see sensation and the first show of its kind to ever appear on the Great White Way with reviews proclaiming “Spectacular” The New York Times, “Dazzling” New York Post, “Jaw dropping” Los Angeles Times, “Perfection” Chicago Sun-Times and receiving an American Theatre Wing, Henry Hewes award nomination for Best Costume Design. The show featured 1980′s pop icon Debbie Gibson in 2010 and will revolutionize live theater in 2014 with the first ever “3D” live theatrical stage production.

Guests staying at the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort for 5 nights or longer were able to receive 2 (two) complimentary tickets and if 7 nights or longer in an Ocean View room or upper category were booked, then 3 (three) complimentary tickets were given.  Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy had it’s last day today, but hopefully Cirque will be something that Moon Palace brings back in the future!  I thought it was amazing and I would jump at the opportunity to see another Cirque performance in a heartbeat!

MY THOUGHTS

I thought the performance was awesome!  It was a show with something for everyone in the family.  The kids loved the dancing, music, and bright colors.  The adults loved the dancing, music, costumes, violinist guy, and jungle man!  LOL  Plus, there were refreshments on site if you wanted to watch the performance with treats in hand.  It was unbelievable how flexible some of the performers were!  I watched them and just thought, “Ow!  No way could I do that in a million years!  How do they do that?”  I would definitely recommend Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy to families and individuals everywhere!  A big thanks to the Moon Palace Resort and Cirque for this awesome opportunity!

Hotel and accommodations were provided by Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort during my visit for this Blogging Event.  All opinions expressed in this post are 100% mine.
