When my oldest was a baby, I remember taking him to get his pictures taken at JCPenney’s Portrait Studios for a Christmas special.  It’s been a long time, but I remember the challenges I had when getting his pictures taken, as well as the excitement of receiving the finished portraits.  I mean, who doesn’t love a great photo to look back on, right?

Photos may capture goofy smiles and your child’s missing teeth, but they also capture the memories of celebrations, accomplishments and family moments we live for.  They remind us how we transform through the years, especially with our children!  With JCPenney’s Portrait Studio, jcpportraits, the snapping’s done for us.  The all-occasion studio also provides simple tips for taking the perfect portrait, so we can freeze big and little moments – and keep them forever.

Jcpportraits provides high-quality portraits for all types of occasions including newborn, birthday, first communion, holiday, graduation, engagement, adult and family portraits and portrait greeting cards! For the month of April, jcpportraits is doing a special deal of $20 for six traditional portrait sheets (mix & match size and images) as well as one free $9 sitting fee. All portraits are 10×13 or smaller.

Tips for Children’s Portraits:

– Schedule an appointment in the morning (after breakfast, but before lunchtime, to avoid tantrums)
– Bring your child’s favorite toy or security item, such as a blanket, doll, or pacifier
– Arrive a few minutes early to your appointment
– Bring coupons if you have any handy
– Smile lots!

Be sure to stop by your local JCPenney’s Studio and make some memories with your family!  Be sure to follow JCPenney on Pinterest and check out some of the pictures I pinned on my Pinterest board as well!

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of jcpenney Portrait Studio. I was asked to create a Pinterest Board and pin at least five (5) pins. I give jcpenney the right to repin any or all images/original content from this board. I received a promotional item as a thanks for my participation.

it’s such a great tip! Bring something like their blanket or plush toy! I forgot the teddy the first time and was told it would help next time, and sure enough.
