Happy Earth Day everyone!  On April 17th, Warner Brothers Home Entertainment Group released Born to be Wild on Blu-ray and DVD.  Nell Minnow, from Chicago Sun-Times, said of Born to be Wild, “Everything a family movie should be: touching, funny and inspiring.”

Stunningly captured in IMAX 3D, IMAX: Born to be Wild documents orphaned orangutans and elephantsand the extraordinary people who rescue and raise them.

IMAX: Born to be Wild is narrated by Academy-Award® winner Morgan Freeman (“Million Dollar Baby,” “Dolphin Tale”) and directed by David Lickley (“Jane Goodall’s Wild Chimpanzees”).

The Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD contain an UltraViolet Digital Copy that allows consumers to download and instantly stream the film to many computers, tablets and smartphones. The IMAX: Born to be Wild Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack features a 3D hi-definition, a hi-definition, a standard definition and a digital copy of the film for $44.95; the Blu-ray Combo Pack features a hi-definition, a standard definition and a digital copy of the film for $35.99; and the single disc DVD features a standard definition and a digital copy of the film for $28.98.

MY THOUGHTS

IMAX: Born to be Wild is a beautiful movie with majestic animals and breathtaking scenery.  If you love Morgan Freeman, you’ll love hearing his voice as he narrates throughout the movie.  A big thanks to Warner Brothers Home Entertainment for providing this title for review on The Mommy-Files.  I can’t wait to see the next IMAX movie that comes to Blu-ray and DVD!

    That was a great trailer. Nice bluray for the collection. I imagine at the IMAX it must’ve been really impressive.
