Thanks to Walgreens for underwriting this post. I was paid as a member of the Clever Girls Collective, but the content is all mine. Visit http://www.discoverbeautywithin.com/.

Feeling and looking beautiful are both important to me as a woman and as a single mom.  Walgreens knows this and strives to provide products for consumers that help us to achieve the beauty we long for.  This time of year is a cold time of year for many of us, as we are still in the Winter Season, and because of that our skin care and beauty needs may change somewhat.

When I was living in Utah, my skin care regimen was different during the winter months compared to the spring or summer months.  During the winter, the weather was colder and harsher on my skin.  I often battled dry or chapped skin due to the cold weather.  I found myself using more moisturizer than in the spring or summer months.

During the winter, I would wash my face both morning and night.  Prior to washing my face, I would remove my eye makeup with makeup remover pads specifically designed for removing makeup (made by Neutrogena – you can find it at Walgreens).  I would then follow up with a moisturizer, both in the morning (before applying my makeup) and at night (before bed).  In the morning, I would make sure I put on a moisturizer that also had SPF in it, to protect my fair skin from the sun during the day.  I would apply a good amount of moisturizer so that when I applied my foundation, my skin didn’t flake because of the dryness.  At Walgreens, you can find makeup remover, cleansers, and moisturizers that are perfect for skin in cold weather.

When I was walking through Walgreens, I found a huge selection of makeup brands and colors.  Brands included Loreal, Cover Girl, Maybelline, Neutrogena, and more.  Plus, many of the makeup products were on sale and well advertised.  I found foundations that matched my skin tone, in addition to a variety of blushes, eye shadows, mascaras, lip liners, and lipsticks.  To prevent chapped lips, I could also purchase chap stick, which I would apply to my lips after applying lip liner, but before applying lipstick.

Walgreens definitely had beauty products at budget-friendly prices that would satisfy my cold weather beauty needs.  Check out your local Walgreens for your skin care and cold weather beauty needs today!

I used to live in a much colder climate and even I was convinced to use some moisturizer. I typically decline, but I did underestimate how much it helps.
