I remember watching Lady and the Tramp when I was a young girl.  I remember watching in awe as the woman opened the box with the bow and Lady popped up through the top of the box.  I remember watching with a smile as Lady and the Tramp sat at the table outside the Italian Restaurant eating the spaghetti noodle, ending in a tiny kiss.  As they pushed the meatballs to one another with their noses.  I’m excited to bring that same classic movie from my childhood to my boys’ childhood.  Do you have favorite memories of Lady and the Tramp from your childhood?

LADY AND THE TRAMP: DIAMOND EDITION SYNOPSIS

One of the great classics…more glorious than ever in dazzling Disney Blu-ray High Definition!  A classic love story unfolds in the best Disney tradition as a lovely young pedigreed cocker spaniel named Lady, who lives a pampered life, finds herself falling romantically for Tramp, an amorous street-smart pooch without prospects.  Although they have fun together on several dates, including a sentimental spaghetti dinner by moonlight at Tony’s restaurant, their relationship is strained not only by Lady’s loyalty to her human family and their newborn baby, but by Tramp’s devil-may-care attitude that eventually gets Lady in trouble and tossed into the dog pound.  However, good-hearted Tramp redeems himself by saving the baby from potential harm and thus wins Lady’s love and the affection of her human family.

Share this timeless Disney Classic with your family as Walt Disney’s beloved classic, Lady and the Tramp, finally releases from the Disney Vault for the first time ever on Blu-ray.  This heartwarming tale now charms a new generation of families and fans with its exquisite animation and unforgettable songs in one of the greatest love stories of all time.  Featuring high definition sound and immersive bonus features your family can enjoy together, Lady and the Tramp Diamond Edition is a must own addition to your Disney collection.

MY THOUGHTS

Lady and the Tramp is a great movie and it’s even more amazing in the Diamond Edition.  There were some really good Special Features in the Diamond Edition, especially “Lady’s Pedigree: The Making of Lady and the Tramp” and “The Siamese Cat Song: Finding a Voice for the Cats.”  I am happy to add this special DVD to our family’s movie collection and share my childhood experience with Lady and the Tramp with my boys.  A big thanks to Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment for this DVD review opportunity on The Mommy-Files.

  3. OMG! My kids are currently obsessed with Lady and the Tramp, especially my middle son. He wants to get a dog so bad–and it has to look like one of the dogs from the movie. That’s not going to be easy. 🙂

  4. Christian Alejandro N. says:

Isn’t it great how well the movie has endured? We purchased the blu-ray and it was definitely worth it.
