Holiday Shopper Challenge with American Express – Part 2

I was excited to partner with American Express this holiday season and check out the American Express Membership Rewards Program.  I was given the task of purchasing gifts for 4 family members or friends.  With the Membership Rewards points, I chose various gift cards – including gift cards to Home Depot, Pottery Barn, Kohls, and Williams-Sonoma.  Gift cards make awesome gifts in my opinion!  With a gift card, family or friends can search for their perfect gift and choose what they want….when they want.

As part of the campaign, I was also asked to purchase a gift from a small business.  I chose to purchase some fun board games for my parents from a friend who sells Simply Fun Board Games.  My stepmom loves word games, so I purchased for her a word game called Plext.  Let me tell you, it’s a challenging word game and a fun one too!  My dad loves Sudoku, so I purchased for him a board game called Sudoka.  They enjoyed their gifts and I enjoyed supporting a friend’s home-based business while shopping for my parents for Christmas.  Did you support a small business this past Small Business Saturday (November 26th)?  If not, celebrate with us next year or even throughout the year!
