HOLIDAY MEAL TIPS
– Make a list of the family and friends you are hosting the holiday meal for.
– Make a list of the dishes you would like to serve and how many people each dish will serve.
– Assign a helper – someone to help tie up the loose ends, gather the dishes, set the table, etc.
– If you are serving a new recipe, make it at least one time before you serve it to family and friends, especially for a holiday meal.
– If ordering pre-made dishes, always order for a few more guests than you expect to attend.

make sure you are prepared for leftovers afterwards… have recipe picked out to use up things, have containers ready for storing. If you will be freezing some leftovers (great option btw, pull them out when they are new and exciting again and not the same old thing again!) make sure you have freezer bags etc ready and waiting.

We usually cook a lot two days before and leave just the main recipes in the end. Still a lot of work and nobody likes to get up early in the morning on Xmas or Thanksgiving with an hangover and start to cook… 🙂
My tip is to not go overboard and keep the meals simple.
