I was so excited the day the delivery guys brought my new Front Loading Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer.  They are awesome!  So many of my friends heard about my opportunity to add them to my home and have “oooo”d and “awwww”d over them.  One friend even commented that it was like Disneyland in my garage.  Who’d have thought doing laundry could be so exciting, right?

One of the things I really like about the Duet Washer are the notifications I receive at different times.  I LOVE that I only have to fill it with laundry detergent every few cycles instead of each cycle.  Let’s say I am doing a load of sheets.  I turn the washer on and the lights and computer comes on.  When I select the cycle I want to use, a little message appears on the screen, accompanied by a beep, saying that the detergent level is low and that I may need to refill the detergent dispenser soon.  How cool is that???  No more overdosing on detergent, which ends up costing me in the end!  The Precision Dispense Ultra System also releases bleach and fabric softener at the right time during the cycle for optimal fabric care.

Another feature I have come to appreciate is the notification of when it is time to wash my Whirlpool Washer.  Yes, you need to wash the tub of your Whirlpool Front Loading Duet Washer, but it’s not hard at all.  It’s as simple as opening up a package of the Affresh tablets, taking one out, putting it into the tub of the washer, closing the door, and then selecting the “Clean Washer with Affresh” cycle.  The cycle is done in a little over an hour and you have a fresh new inside all over again!  It is so awesome!

The troubleshooting features on the Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer are amazing!  Smart temperature control helps reduce shrinking and color bleeding and the washer offers 14 specialty fabric care cycles.  Keep your blacks black and your colors bright!  Care control temperature management enabled by 6th Sense technology helps protect your clothes by controlling water amount and temperature.

Just like a car needs an oil change, appliances require regular maintenance, such as cleaning the washer with a freshener and emptying the lint filter on the dryer after each load. The vent should be cleaned every couple of months. Hire the best dryer vent cleaning service to assist you in keeping it fresh.

ABOUT THE AFFRESH CLEANING TABLETS

Affresh tablets remove and prevents odor-causing residue that can occur in all brands of HE washers.  Affresh cleaner is a formulated, slow-dissolve, foaming tablet that gets under residue, breaks it up, and washes it away leaving the washer smelling fresh and clean.  Simply place one tablet in the wash basket (without clothes) and run a Normal Cycle (hot option) or Clean Washer Cycle.  The Grit Grabber pre-moistened cloths have been formulated to penetrate, dissolve and remove odor-causing residue from the rubber door seal so you can use them to wipe up any remaining dirt.  Affresh cleaning tablets will be available at Home Depot, Best Buy, Target, and amazon.com soon.

I am so happy to share my experiences with the Whirlpool Duet Front Loading Washer and Dryer.  I love the troubleshooting features on the pair and the money they save me.  I highly recommend this set to anyone who wants efficient appliances that result in low costs.  Laundry used to be hassle, but now, I can honestly say that I look forward to each load I wash and dry!  A big thanks to Whirlpool and Mom Central for this blogging opportunity!

I shut the door on the washer and push the button to start it but it just makes the buzzin sound and then nothing. The water will not start and it will not start to run.
