I love to eat yogurt and recently had the opportunity to try out the new Oikos® Greek Yogurt from Dannon® . Dannon® Oikos® is created through an authentic Greek straining process which gives it a rich and creamy-thick texture. Dannon® Oikos® Plain and Fruit on the Bottom contains 0% fat, while the Dannon® Oikos® traditional blended varieties contains about 3% fat. Both are an excellent source of protein, twice that of most regular lowfat yogurts!
Oikos is the Greek word for house. It’s also the root word for ecology. The team at Dannon think it’s a great name for our Greek yogurt because it reminds us of a time when people’s homes were intimately connected with nature and most foods came from household gardens and family herds.
Dannon® Oikos® Yogurt is available in a variety of flavors in your local grocery store. I found Dannon® Oikos® in my local Vons grocery store in the refrigerator section. You can purchase Dannon® Oikos® in the Traditional Single Serve or 0% Fat Single Serve. The Traditional Single Serve are available in Strawberry, Raspberry, and key Lime. The 0% Fat Single Serves are available in Peach (Fruit on the Bottom), Black Cherry (Fruit on the Bottom), Blueberry (Fruit on the Bottom), Honey, Vanilla, and Plain.
Be sure to visit your local grocery store and try out Dannon® Oikos® for yourself! You can also find Dannon® Oikos® on Facebook.
I had tried Greek yogurt before and didn’t care for the taste or texture at all. I was curious about how Dannon® Oikos® would taste and was happy with the results. It had a slight aftertaste, but overall, I loved the thick and creamy texture of this flavorful Greek Yogurt! It tastes really good with Granola on top or blended together in a shake. A big thanks goes to Dannon and Clever Girls Collective for this review opportunity!
I have partnered with Dannon to help promote the Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt Series. I have been compensated for my time commitment to the program, which includes writing about the promotion and product. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.
I’m not really a fan of yogurt, but I’ve been on a diet and have gotten a couple of coupons for different yogurts and I actually can eat this one. =)
I enjoy the blueberry flavor with a banana for breakfast. I would even buy it without a coupon.
I love yogurt and eat it almost every day. I already tried Danon Oikos and love it!
I wanted to try Oikos but also the French style yogurt which is supposed to be even lighter and creamier than US style yogurt.. Thanks for the heads up about the aftertaste.. I always think I”m just too picky
