Save Big with Arm & Hammer

As a single mom to 3 boys, it is necessary to budget and save on purchases where I can.  As one of the twenty bloggers participating in the Arm & Hammer Switch & Save Program, I have introduced some ways for my readers and visitors to The Mommy-Files to save on or get a free sample of Arm & Hammer products.

I love to use coupons.  Usually, when I go to purchase my groceries, I have the cashier scan all of my  items before swiping a store card or giving him coupons.  The cashier totals the purchase and then applies the store discount, followed by the coupon savings.  It makes me giddy every time to see how much money I had saved on our family’s grocery purchase.

When I use coupons, I be sure to gather them together before heading to the grocery store.  There are a few things I check for when looking at the coupons.  First, are the coupons expired?  If so, does my grocery store take expired coupons?  Second, is there a maximum quantity of the items for the coupon.  If so, plan accordingly and see if you can scope out some more if you are buying multiple items.  Third, is it only valid at a certain store or can it be used at any of the stores selling the product?  Put your coupons in a safe place and DON’T forget to take them with you when you go to the store.  After all, the coupons don’t do you any good if they’re on the kitchen table when you are purchasing the products at the grocery store.

When you visit the Arm & Hammer Savings Center Online, it will prompt you to enter your name, email address, and zip code.  You have a limit of printing the coupons twice, but this also gives you access to newsletters and additional savings that are not necessarily found on the site.  Coupons are based on your zip code.
