Eucerin Everyday Protection May Giveaway
The summer is almost here! While you are enjoying the outdoors this season, it’s important to protect yourself from the sun. Since May is National Skin Cancer Awareness Month, the Eucerin team wanted to remind everyone to put their Skin First throughout the coming months – it can help ensure a lifetime of healthy skin. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. The incidence of skin cancer and specifically melanoma, a particularly aggressive skin cancer, has been reported to be linked to sun burns; so it’s important to take the correct precautions to protect you and your family against this disease.
With Memorial Day weekend approaching, you’ll probably be spending more time at barbeques and neighborhood get-togethers. Even if you put on sunscreen when you leave your house, you need to reapply every two hours, after towel drying, swimming or perspiring. Even when the sky is overcast, using a product with SPF is still important because the sun’s harmful UV rays can cause damage whether the weather is sunny or cloudy. I visited their facebook page. My tip for protecting our skin is to stay out of the sun whenever possible. When it’s not possible, cover up … use hats, clothing and, of course, sun screen. I want to look young as long as I can and prevent skin cancer if possible. I use Eucerin face lotion every day and recommend it to my family and friends.
As crazy as it might sound, moving off of Long Island was a major step in protecting our skin. Long Island is a hot spot for cancer–it’s through the roof compared to anywhere else. My uncle, who has since passed away, got melanoma twice. Second, stay out of the sun as much as possible and use a high-numbered sunscreen when we do go out. I also moisturize from head to toe as soon as I get out of the shower and moisturize my face and neck periodically throughout the day.

I do not EVER go out without sunscreen and when we go to the pool I leave if there’s not a table in the shade!
I visited their facebook page. My tip is to remember to apply SPF to your entire body – not just the areas uncovered my clothing. The sun’s rays can still penetrate through clothing and damage your skin!
