Pizza, burgers, and chips and dip are all party favorites when it comes time to throw on your team’s jersey and watch the Super Bowl game with family and friends.  Ziploc® has partnered with Food Network contributor, cookbook author and nutritionist Robin Miller to help us with the time and money-saving solutions we’ll need to create healthy and enjoyable meals and snacks that will be great for the family to enjoy.

Here are a few tips:

Prep Multiple Meals

– Be resourceful and create two (or more) quick, easy and nutritious meals for friends and family.  Look for multiple recipes that have at least four of the same ingredients and pick one day before the big game as a cooking day to prep all the ingredients needed for them.  Then simply store everything in Ziploc® Brand Containers for Freezer Bags until Super Bowl night, making it easy and quick to whip up a few fresh and healthy meals for your guests to enjoy.

Divide and Conquer

– Ditch the chips and salsa and get creative and have fun by allowing the children to divide nuts, fruit, cereal and crackers in different sections for a healthy snack platter.  Also try out Miller’s specially-crafted Roasted Red Pepper hummus recipe to prepare for friends and family.

Enjoy Super Bowl, eat, and be merry!  Be sure to follow Ziploc® on Facebook!
