Thanks to Scholastic, we had the opportunity to review Happy 100th Day, written by Susan Milord and illustrated by Mary Newell DePalma.  Happy 100th Day is an engaging story that makes counting up (or down) to 100 extra fun!  Happy 100th Day is available for purchase in bookstores or online, retailing for $16.99.

SYNOPSIS:

Graham doesn’t like school.  He really doesn’t like to read.  And he isn’t excited for the 100th Day of School.  What’s the one thing Graham eagerly awaits?  His classroom birthday party.  But when the countdown for the 100th Day of School begins, Graham quickly realizes that it’s the same date as his birthday!  Will anyone remember Graham’s special day?

This sweet and funny story by Susan Milord is accompanied by vibrant multimedia illustrations by Mary Newell DePalma – each illustration incorporates 100 objects for readers to count and find.

MY THOUGHTS

This was a fun book and my boys enjoyed reading it!  After reading it, I would love to check out some of the other titles from Milord and DePalma.  Thanks to Scholastic for making this review possible on The Mommy-Files!
