DVD SYNOPSIS
Hollywood’s hottest young stars deliver gripping performances in this suspenseful urban crime thriller. White Mike (Chace Crawford) is a young drug dealer straddling the mean streets of Harlem and the party palaces of upper Manhattan. Mike’s double life comes crashing down when a highly addictive new drug called “twelve” hits the streets, unleashing a shocking wave of passion and violence. Costarring Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Emma Roberts and Ellen Barkin, and directed by Joel Schumacher (Batman & Robin, A Time to Kill), this adaptation of Nick McDonnell’s acclaimed novel will leave you wired and breathless.
MY THOUGHTS
This movie had a good cast of actors, but did make references to substance abuse and had a fair share of violence. The main actor, Chace Crawford, did a good job and I look forward to seeing him in more movies in the future. This movie is Rated R and does make reference to substance abuse. This is probably the only time I will watch it. Thank you to 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment for the opportunity to review it.
I received a copy of “Twelve” on DVD from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment to facilitate this review. All opinions expressed in this post are 100% mine.
Darn…I thought this one was going to be a movie rated PG…so hard to find good movies for teens. even our 18 year old, although is now watching some R movies, I dont know about some of them. I am sure she will see it and we will when comes out on DVD…I like Emma Roberts so far in movies and think she will make her mark.. Have not heard of Chace but looks to be promising actor? Was wondering why the was called “twelve”. thanks!
Hm…..Not my forte, but it looks like a movie my dad would like!
I’ll have to recommend it to him 🙂
