When I was younger, I remember physically going to the store to buy all of my Christmas gifts and then spending lots of money to ship them to family members in different parts of the country.  Now, I am pampered with the option to do most of my holiday shopping online – whether it’s through gift cards or having products delivered directly to the recipient.

Finding creative, original gifts for family, friends, and even coworkers can be a huge challenge to even the savviest shopper.  Giving gift cards has become the way to shop whether you’re short on time, trying to stay within a set budget, or simply looking to avoid crowded malls.  Gift card giving eliminates the added stress and worry while making it easy for your recipient to get exactly what he or she wants this Holiday Season.

This year, First Data, a global technology and payments processing leader, provides innovative ways to turn an unexciting card into a thoughtful gift.  From a Williams & Sonoma gift paired with holiday cookie cutters for the family baker to an iTunes gift card, packaged with a workout playlist and water bottle for your fitness fanatic, First Data offers original ideas for everyone on your list.

Plus, to make holiday gift giving even easier, First Data has launched eGift Social, a Facebook application that allows you to send a real gift, redeemable at multiple retailers, including Cold Stone, Culver’s Kmart, Dots, Sears, Burger King, Boston Market and Joe’s Crab Shack.  Easy to use, eGift Social creates a unique alternative with convenient, customizable virtual gifts that can be obtained through your web-enabled mobile phone or a Facebook message.

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of First Data and received an eGift gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
