Thanks to Jenn at Eighty MPH Mom, every Monday I participate (along with other bloggers) in a fun vlogging event called Monday Mingle. It is SO much fun! Each week, we answer 3 questions about ourselves and share them with our friends on our individual blogs.

THIS WEEK’S QUESTIONS (submitted by Teresa at NanaHood):

 1.  If you could switch places for one day with anyone in the world who would it be and why?
2.  What do your children like best about visiting their grandparents?
3. What kind of grandmother do you think you will be (many years from now of course) and are you looking forward to it?

  1. Queen Shannon – so nice to see you mingle again! I think it would be great to have an extended family all living together, such a shame that things aren’t like that more these days.

  2. Brandy says:

nice to see you again, I haven’t mingled for a while either.
    I LOVE your HAIR!!!

you would make a good ariel LOL

    talk soon, The Buzz, Brandy

  3. Hi Shannon!! It’s good to see your face 🙂

That’s true – I don’t look forward to MORE grey hair (I have lots and lots already), and I definitely don’t want wrinkles. Passing the grandkids off when you’ve had enough sounds wonderful.

Your hair DOES look awesome. You look so healthy and happy, and dare I say “glowing”?

    Thanks for mingling!

  4. goodys!!!
It all about the goodies and the LOVE! 🙂
    Thanks for mingling Shannon!
i love it when you mingle!

Wow! You look so professional. I feel like a big old slacker. And serious hair. I love it and you look like a queen. I am a new vlogger at thriftymommastips. Visit when you are able. Looking forward to more from you. – Paula

You did a great job. I did mine first thing this morning and didn’t even think to brush my hair. Yikes

Oooh a queen, I would love to be a queen for a day too!

You don’t have silver hair, I can’t make a chocolate chip cookie either, they are either over done or like cake not a cookies. Who does that? Crazy huh?

  7. I haven’t done a mingle in so long it’s terrible… I need to get back to it.

I think it is such a blessing for kids to be able to be so close to their grandparents. My girls have my mom who practically lives with us, since she works here all day and evening on our websites and then she technically lives a couple blocks away with Janice and her family.

Sadly they rarely see my inlaws as they live in Italy.

Great to “see” you again… talk soon!

  8. Teresa says:

Hi There and all Hail The Queen! I actually thought about choosing to be a queen too, but at the last minute went with Jennifer Anniston or Sandra Bullock. Go figure. Hope you visited NanaHood and hope you will tell your mom about it. We need more nanas! There’s a survey there I would love for her to fill out…right hand column, scroll down.

    Blessings to you!
    Teresa

  9. Mel says:

Totally love the Queen answer, good one! I think we’d all like to be Queen for a day. Wouldn’t it be so nice to have someone wait on you, instead of you constantly waiting on everyone else? !

It sounds like your kids have some great grandparents!

  10. Daenel says:

Queen, dahling, Ariel is fabulous. She’d be great to switch places with, LOL. Your kids are blessed to have their grandparents. That’s so cool ~ the little gifties. I think everyone looks forward to the grandma part ’cause you can give them back. LOL

  11. Linda says:

I miss living near my parents. Thankfully my son grew up really close to them. My daughter however, does not get to see them as often.

I agree with the others.. Love the hair! 🙂

  12. I remember as a kid, going to my grandparents house for a week each summer and getting “goodies” every day from the Five & Dime each day of my stay. It really was great.
Being that I already AM a grandmother, I am the one who buys the goodies now, spoils the child and hands him back to his parents when he gets fussy.
Since I know what a great mom you are, there is NO DOUBT you will be a fantastic grandma.
