You may have noticed that I haven’t been as active on my blog as I was at one time. I’ve been very busy with the boys and handling life in general. I’m able to work on my blog during quiet time and at night. By the time the evening rolls around, many times I just want to relax and watch a funny movie or a few favorite tv shows. Plus, I’ve been dealing with a lot of feelings about life in general. Divorce is definitely an emotional process as well as a legal process, but I am getting through it with the help of a family law attorney.

I am finding myself again. I am discovering what I love about life and what I want out of life for the boys and I. I am making new friends and finding old friends again. I am rediscovering that instead of looking negatively on my past, I am finding myself grateful for the trials I’ve faced to help me become the person I am. I am finding that I am an intelligent, beautiful, and strong woman and a good mom to my 3 boys.

Every day may not be the best day of my life, but if I try to make it the best day I can, I’ll be happy.  I am thankful for my health.  Many of you recall that I went to the doctor due to leg cramps and had an ultrasound on my leg looking for blood clots.  There were no blood clots found and my blood panel was almost perfect.  No diabetes, thyroid looked good, and overall healthy results.  The doctor did say that my Potassium levels were on the low side, but still normal.  Normal levels range from 3.4 to 4.8 and mine was 3.5.  I asked him if bananas w0uld help.  He said Potassium supplements were better.  It would take 5 bananas to equal a Potassium supplement.  Point taken.  Thank goodness the results were good!

I am so thankful for my family and friends.  I have so many good friends who have helped me through this difficult and trying time.  I am grateful for the strength and support they’ve given to me.  Feel free to share what you are thankful for!  Happy Thursday everyone!

I imagine it’s a very tough time for you all. Glad you are taking time for you.

(PS Potatoes have even more potassium then a banana if you eat the skin…but glad you can get supplements, too!)

I’m glad that the tests showed a problem that has a simple remedy. Divorce is painful, especially when children are involved. Take care of yourself and those handsome boys.

Your outlook on life is truly inspirational- it would be so easy to be part of a pity party right now but you rise above. It is obvious that you really do COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS. Take good care of you and yours; this is what matters most.

i am glad to hear that you got good results from your tests… On another note, we all have many roads to travel in life and you are on a new road… and it’s ok when we have to change roads and find what is best for us.

It is always rewarding to stop and remind ourselves of all the things we have to be thankful for! I am thankful for a loving, supportive family and friends, and that God has blessed me with sight to enjoy the beautiful mountains, lakes, trees and birds that live around me!

I’m thankful that you’re okay! I’m thankful that you’re rediscovering your life. I’m thankful that your boys will have a happy home because that’s honestly so much more important than a 2 person parental home.

  11. Oh this thankful season I’m want to tell you how much I appreciate your open & honestness of life. Hang in there sweetie you’re doing GREAT.
