Aloha Friday #47
Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday! Thanks to Kailani at An Island Life, I participate in Aloha Friday each Friday!
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
My question is:
Do you have any family traditions you do on your birthday?
We always have chocolate cake on my birthday!!! Lots of chocolate frosting is a plus!
Feel free to link up your Aloha Friday posts below!
We usually have the birthday person pick their favorite meal, but that is all so far. I would love to start some new traditions with my children.
Unfortunately no. My birthday falls the day after my youngest daughter’s birthday. So we usually have left over cake from hers. So I guess that’s a tradition of sorts, but one that’s definitely not really intended. We usually go out to dinner.
Favorite meal, cake, presents, singing Happy Birthday. Simple the norm and simple things.
For birthday’s we usually do a whatever the birthday Person wants to do. NO cleaning just fun. Birthday Person decides everything its their day
We usually have spaghetti.
no traditions, just try and spend time with family
Before I moved across the country, it was a family tradition for the whole family to gather at my grandma’s house for a big meal and get together on everyone’s birthday. I sure do miss those gatherings!
We still have everyone’s favorite dessert on their birthdays- my husband always wants Fruit Pizza and I like our family recipe for chocolate sheet cake. Yummy!
We sing (off key of course) to the birthday person.
