My boys really enjoy watching a lot of the Nick Jr. shows, including “Blue’s Clues,” “Go, Diego, Go!,” “The Wonder Pets,” and “Dora the Explorer.” Thanks to Paramount Home Entertainment and Nick Jr. we had the opportunity to review a really fun DVD called, Nick Jr Favorites: Go Green. I really liked it because it had a variety of our favorite Nick Jr. shows and the shows were inspired by Earth Day. The DVD was released on March 30th, 2010 and is available online and in stores across the U.S. The DVD retails for $16.99.

“Nick Jr. Favories: Go Green!” includes the following episodes:

“Dora the Explorer – Bugga Bugga”
Dora and Boots are bug hunting in the forest when they come upon Mama Bugga Bugga struggling under the weight of a big cookie she is trying to bring home to feed her 10 Bugga Bugga babies. Dora and Boots offer to help her home and, along the way, the trio faces a bug-trapper flower in Isa’s Garden and lurking spiders in a hug Spider Web maze.

“Go, Diego, Go! – Manatee’s Mermaid Rescue!”
Diego reads Baby Manatee her favorite story about Mermaid City. One day, the ground shakes and a mountain starts growing under the city, lifting Mermaid City high above the ocean and trapping all the mermaids so they can’t get back to the water! It’s Diego and Manatee to the rescue!

“The Wonder Pets! – Save the Tree / Save the Elephant”
The Wonder Pets set out to save a little tree all alone in a city lot and a young elephant stuck in the mud in Kenya.

“Yo Gabba Gabba! – Green”
The Gabba gang learns to care for their environment by watering plants, not littering, cleaning up the trash, and recycling. Featured songs include: “A Flowers Power,” “Throw Us Away,” “We’re Counting on You,” and “Hello World.”

“Blue’s Clues – What Does Blue Want to Make out of Recycled Things?”
“Blue and Steve are busy cleaning up. Steve starts to throw things away but Blue decides to use these old things to make new items. To figure out what to make, Blue and the viewers play Blue’s Clues and sort thrown-away items into appropriate recycling bins, choose a project Tickety can make out of recycled items, and visit Recycle Town to identify how to recycle objects so they are put to use.

“Ni Hao, Kai-lan – The Place Where We All Live”
YeYe gives Kai-lan and her friends new kites. Kai-lan, Rintoo, Tolee, and HoHo throw all the wrapping paper on the floor causing a big problem for the ants, snails, and worms who are working on building a fruit stand! At first, Kai-lan and her friends don’t understand why there’s trash all over the floor, but once they realize it’s their fault, they ask for the viewer’s help to clean it all up.
