I recently had the opportunity to visit McCormick & Schmick’s Restaurant in Downtown Seattle and was thoroughly impressed.  The view was beautiful, the restaurant was inviting, the staff was friendly, and the food was divine!  I visited McCormick & Schmick’s Restaurant with my friend Katie for a Girl’s Night Out.  We both were really impressed with the restaurant.

We were greeted and seated right away.  When we sat down at the table, the server brought us menus and started us off with water, bread, and butter.  The bread and butter are complimentary.  We ordered the Crab and Artichoke Dip, served with Pita Chips.  The Pita Chips were lightly seasoned and the Dip was scrumptious.  It was so good….and it went fast!  We ate it up and enjoyed every bite of it!

There are a variety of appetizers to choose from, including Portabella Bruschetta, Baked Brie with Roasted Garlic, Mussels, Shrimp, Clams, and more.  They make a tasty addition to anyvisit made to McCormick & Schmick’s.

For dinner, I ordered the Seafood Fettucine Alfredo, with Rock Shrimp and Bay Scallops.  It was so good!  Oh man, I’m salivating just thinking about it.  It was a very creamy and rich dish.  It’s really good with freshly grated Parmesan on top.  I loved every bite of it and my family loved the leftovers I brought home as well!

Katie ordered the Steak and Shrimp Combo and it looked really good as well.  She really enjoyed the combination of Steak and Shrimp.  Her dish also came with steamed veggies.  I’m sure she and her husband enjoyed her leftovers!

MY THOUGHTS

I really enjoyed my experience at McCormick & Schmick’s and would definitely return for a romantic date with my hubby.  I think it’s perfect for a birthday or anniversary celebration, especially the evening when the lights are dimmed and the music is turned down low.  I was impressed with the host who seated us as well as the host who thanked us for coming.  The food was very good!  I rate it a 4 out of 5 for price, taste, and atmosphere.  Thank you McCormick & Schmick’s.

I used a gift card provided from a previous post for this dining experience.  All opinions expressed in this post are 100% mine.

M&S on South Lake Union also has the BEST happy hour in town- huge portions of their amazing food for incredible prices. We’ve had the chance to eat at a M&S many times, in the bar and the dining room and have never been disappointed. It’s one of our favorites.

We have a McCormick and Schmicks here in town at The Domain. I’ve always been interested in the menu however we try to typically stay away from The Domain as they have a lot of hoity toity shops there and tend to overcharge comparatively to the Austin area. I may have to check into this restaurant though.

  5. What a great thing to have a girls night out at such a fabulous place! Your Seafood Fettucine Alfredo looks absolutely delicious and I would definitely have tried the baked brie (one of my faves). Thanks for sharing the info, if we ever get out that way (could it BE any farther for us – TeeHee) we will certainly look it up!

I went there once on a trip to Portland and I agree! For a chain, I was pretty impressed. The only problem I had was rice being under cooked on my sushi roll but it was no biggie.
