My boys LOVE SUPER WHY! Thanks to Out of the Blue Enterprises, PBS Kids, and Paramount Home Entertainment, we had the opportunity to review the newly released “Super WHY! : Peter Rabbit and Other Fairytale Adventures” on DVD. The boys really enjoyed watching this DVD and I loved hearing them laugh at different parts of the show. While it was on, they even ran into their bedroom and put their superhero costumes on. They had a blast! I found it entertaining as well to watch some of the classic fairy tales I remember as a kid reenacted on SUPER WHY!

SUPER WHY! is the first superhero series that helps children ages 3-6 learn to read through interactive storybook adventures. SUPER WHY! Peter Rabbit & Other Fairytales Adventures includes four new-to-DVD adventures, including the stories of Peter Rabbit, Tom Thumb, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and Rapunzel. Super Why and his super friends use the power to read and investigate rhyming words in order to change the outcome of the story and save the day. This television series has even received the 2008-2009 Parents’ Choice Silver Honor Award and was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Preschool Children’s Series.

SUPER WHY! Peter Rabbit & Other Fairytale Adventures was released on DVD on March 2nd, 2010. The DVD includes interactive games, music videos, resources for parents, and coloring pages. The DVD is approximately 100 minutes long and retails for $14.99

MY THOUGHTS

I think this is a fun DVD for kids and is also educational. As an adult, it’s a show that I even enjoy watching with the kids. We are happy to add this to our DVD collection!
