If I Was Given $100 Next Month, I Would….

When you are on a budget with a big household, unexpected extra money can go a long way. JuiceBoxJungle inspired me to think of what I would do if I was given $100 next month. If I was given $100 next month, I would consider applying it towards clothes for my kids or my husband or putting it towards putting new tires on our truck. No fun dates or anything like that. Now, if it were a gift card to a specific place, such as a restaurant, I would spend it at that place. A nice romantic dinner out with the husband would be great! Oh and food I didn’t have to cook – lol!

Another way I would consider applying it would be putting it towards BlogHer, since I still have to reserve my hotel room and purchase my plane ticket. I already have my conference ticket (thank you Johnsonville) and am so excited for this event in 6 months – woo hoo!

What would you do if you were given $100 next month?

Kodak and JuiceBoxJungle sponsored me to write this fun post, about what I’d do with a surprise extra $100 if someone handed it to me next month.

put it to good use towards a tree in my front yard. We need some shade on our front window during the hot AZ summer.

  2. We put up a greenhouse last year. Framed in wood with a poly woven covering. I would put the 100.00 towards UV panels to eventually replace the tarp like covering.
We grow food in there so it would be something that would last and benefit us for years to come.

I’d put it in savings, for sure. I’ve been putting every extra dollar I can find away. We’re saving for our dream home. It’s a small dream, so I think we can do it!

My brother just got married so I’d use it to buy him and his new wife a wedding gift!!

We just moved into a new home but the previous owners neglected the yard (for quite some time by the looks of it!) so I’d use $100 to help get the lawn back into shape this spring.

I would replace the interior doors in our house. They are a good deal at home depot & we could replace 5 doors for $100.00

Practical uses for that random $100 dollars is definitely a good thing!

  8. I would get lots of snacks and books to ship over to Nikolaus in Afghanistan. I found out that our post office (not sure if they all do it) gives a $2.00 discount on the large flat rate boxes (you can pack up to 70 lbs.) with the APO/FPO symbol on them – thank you USPS for supporting our troops!
I have three packages going out today… Yes, I am a very spoiling mommy when it comes to my children and my puppy! 🙂
