Tell Your Good News Tuesday
I don’t know about you, but I think there is too much BAD NEWS in the world. I’d like to explore a new possibility on The Mommy-Files – TELL YOUR GOOD NEWS TUESDAY!
Whether it has to do with work, your kids, your spouse, your parents, something you saw, etc., etc., etc., post your GOOD NEWS here and let’s talk about the good things in our lives!
What is your good news for the week?
My dad wasn’t upset about not spending Christmas dinner with them – we’re newlyweds and treading on new territory by splitting up the holidays. He’s actually going all out for breakfast for us instead….even smoking a ham! Woohoo for flexibility!! 🙂
My good news is I finally finished my mom’s 50th surprise party invitations!! I can finally cross it off my check list and stop stressing about it!
And we got my family pictures back and LOVE them!! Yay!
My good news is sort of personal, but we all need a good read once in awhile so here I go. My husband and I both have nearly 9 months of soberity and that is a real God thing if you new me personally.
Dew to my husbands and my useing and drinking the state felt that it would be a good idea to remove our little girl from our home on Feb 10, 2009. We were out of hand and realised we had better do something about our problem or we would never be good parents or even partners for that matter!!
We began attending AA meetings ant that is where the change began. Through that program I gained a new prespective on life and saw my disease for what it was. Cunning baffeling and oh so powerful! I go to meetings daily and have someone that works the 12 steps with me and I work with a young girl myself.
The blessings of staying sober are countless..let me tell ya. The state is returning our 2 year old girl in two days. The day after we move into OUR NEW HOME that WE OWN! First home EVER! My husband got a GOOD JOB as a bridge operator 1 mile from our new home and my husband and I are no longer living in the lifestyle of sick people. We are parents and live by a code of contuct consisting of Honesty, Willingness and Integerity to the best of our ability.
The moral is God has blessed me beyond words and my Gratitude speaks.
I hope everyone has a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
My Good News is….it is raining and melting the snow. Although it is slushy I don’t mind 🙂
Good for you, Lynn! It sounds like you have many blessings this Christmas. Keep being positive and strong when the inevitable bad times come. I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas.
My good news is that my “baby” is coming home from college on Friday!
I won a $100 Marriott gift card this week! Wahoo!
My good news is that I did not suffer a complete anxiety meltdown when I attended my husband’s work holiday party (due to the plethora of strangers) and in fact, I looked and felt rather kickin’ in my outfit, with my weight loss, and with my husband on my arm. 🙂
I know I’m a little late!! My good news: I won a few giveaways this week!
