KFC drive-thru

This evening, I took my 3 boys to the KFC Drive-Thru to order a family chicken meal.  I pulled up to the drive-thru ordering box and began to say “Hi, I’d like a…” and before I knew it the words “TACO PLEASE!” were coming out of my 5 year old’s mouth.  He had rolled down his window (directly behind me) and started ordering.  The KFC we’ve gone to before had a Taco Bell also, but this one didn’t.

I quickly rolled up his window and pushed the window lock button.  I proceeded to order our dinner.  I had to refrain from laughing (and it was hard).  I can’t believe how quickly he is growing up – it’s actually starting to scare me a little!

  1. Oh my goodness that is too funny!! I think the KFC/Taco Bell combo restaurants are too weird. But hey sometimes you just want a Taco–I guess you will have to go to the combo restaurants from now on 🙂

That is one self-assured five-year-old…you must be a proud mama. So many children at that age are shy and getting anything out of them is like pulling teeth for their kindergarden teachers. Not that little guy…he already has a well developed sense of self. At least developed enough to speak up and let people know what he likes. And he said please! Kudos mom…you’ve done a good job.

My 3 year old does things almost every day that make me realize that she is growing up. They make me laugh because she’s just a little person now. It’s funny, and yet sad all at once.

That’s cute! He is growing up. I’m sure the KFC people were like “no tacos here!” At least he remembered to say please.

Well he knows what he wants, how you didn’t bust out laughing is amazing. I know when I’m around my friend’s 3 year old little girl and she does something unexpected or says something way out of the blue, I have to leave the room so I can laugh.
