Disability Checks
I was visiting a blog recently where the author was talking about Disability checks. Disability checks are definitely a blessing for those who need to use them! However, this particular case (not the author but someone she knows) was for a woman claiming disability because her boobs were too big and hurting her back…therefore she couldn’t work. This is something that isn’t considered a disability, there are thousands of people who are incapable of functioning in the real world due to diseases or real disabilities, those are the ones who should be getting benefits from a social security disability attorney.
OK (sorry guys), but I am big-boob-challenged (aka small chested). I was very self-conscious about it growing up (thank you very much Barbie), but at least I know my husband married me for my brains – right, honey? LOL
Anyways, when I was listening to her VLOG, I instantly had a flashback to high school. I would like to say that even if you have big boobs and your back hurts, you can still work! I remember the receptionist. She was a nice, older lady who had really big boobs. I mean she had to literally lift them onto the desk at work (like potato sacks) and just sit there with them resting on top of the desk. I never quite understood why she did this until I got older. It was a brilliant idea! Took all the strain off her back! See – big-boobed women still can work – and should NOT be claiming disability because their backs hurt!!! Disability checks can help those who really need it!!! Before going to your disability insurance lawyer to claim a check, make sure you have proof of your disability signed by a doctor, that way you can apply for disability checks for when you need it without any trouble. Your social security disability lawyer will also ensure that you get the maximum benefits you are entitled to.
I can’t believe someone would get disability for that! She could get a breast reduction!
I have to say I disagree with your post…I myself am big chested (not that I’m recieving disability or anything), sitting at a desk can be just as straining on the back as standing. I have to constantly change positions to help my back (because lucky me, im one of the millions who don’t have health insurance) Can you imagine in todays world, if she were to sit at a receptionist desk and someone see her with her breasts resting on her desk?
BUT, I have to say, since she is getting disability, she is probably getting medicaid (or some sort of help with insurance)…which…if she is having back problems because of her large breasts, insuance will pay for a breast reduction! I myself have looked into getting this surgery, and as soon as I get insurance, or can afford to pay for the surgery myself, I will be getting it done.

Hmmmm well good thing we all can have our own opinions on things. I know people who yes have back pain from large boobs, but…to receive disability for it seems a little ridiculous. Can I get disability when I am pregnant because my boobs are too tender to carry kids around at the daycare? 🙂 Just a thought.
Disability is out there to help people who really NEED it, I am not sure if it is necessarily a NEED in her case.
I seen this as well and it really bothers me, my dad has been fighting for 3 years to get disability. He is being seen regular by a doctor who states she is shocked he was turned down. He has arthritis in both his hips and his back if I am not mistaken. It does bug me how he has to fight for it when he has busted his behind all his life, but some young kids who got bad into drugs and fried their brains can get it no problem.
I think there are cases of both.I myself have DDD breasts and have developed scoliosis because of it.Yes surgery is an option but some of us ,like myself, have had them for years.I was a DD in 8th grade, and to get rid of them is getting rid of part of yourself.HOWEVER I do not receive disability for it,even though I suffer daily back pain, and have fibromyalsia on top of that.I think if you chose to keep your chest size ,you have to be willing to make sacrifices for that,and pain is one of those.There may be cases that warrant getting disability,but many people take advantage of the fact that they can get it,even if they do not need it.If you can walk,sit,or have intimacy(putting that nicely),then you can work.Disability is for people who cannot enjoy life.My father received it because of a botched hip replacement surgery and believe me,someone who needs it would give it up in a minute to live a normal life.My dad would have paid back every cent if it meant holding his grandkids instead of only knowing them from bed.Those who take advantage should take a look at those who do not.
I agree-Disability checks are wonders for people who can’t work. I wish I could apply for disability =/
Disability is very difficult to get, it took me 8 months and all 4 of my doctors to fill out their forms, plus visits to 2 of the disability doctors. It is a god-send for us, because I cannot work and The Hubs is retired. I find it really appalling when people who really don’t deserve it, are able to get on disability. I really shouldn’t say that because, I have no right to say who deserves it or not, I am just annoyed at how difficult it was for me to get it and the fact that I had NO health insurance for 3 years, and now have a Medicare HMO which still doesn’t cover everything that I need.
OK, enough of my whining!! Thanks for letting me vent….. 🙂
