What About Mommy?

I’m so glad that our boys love their daddy so much, however, tonight I had an epiphany. I think it’s so adorable that our 1 year old says “DADDYYY!!” And then my husband responds back with “SAMMYYY!”

Then I realized it (just kind of clicked like a light a going on) – he’s never said MOMMY! Wait a minute! It’s “Mommy” that gets vomited all over! It’s “Mommy” that wakes up in the middle of the night to nurse him! It’s “Mommy” who changes some really NASTY diapers! It’s “Mommy” that gives him the bubble baths at nights!

For the time being, I’ll just have to settle for hugs, pats on the back, and open-mouth kisses! Come on baby, say “Mommy” for me! Well, it was worth a try, but he just responded with a laugh and then said “Daddy!” 🙂
