I have met so many wonderful people through blogging and decided that I wanted to start a new meme called “Featured Blogger Friday.” This will get everyone a chance to meet some of the great bloggers that are out there! 🙂 This last week was super busy and a little chaotic and before I knew it, Friday was here! So, I’m going to feature The Mommy-Files (me) this week and feature another blogger next week. Here is a little bit about myself and The Mommy-Files.
What made you choose the name of your blog?
I was trying to come up with a title that had the word “mommy” in it, since that is my full-time position in life right now. I was brainstorming with hubby and we wanted a name that was unique. We thought about files and then I thought about X-Files and we came up with the title “The Mommy-Files.”
Who designed your blog?
Krizzy Designs designed my header and format! I tried but couldn’t understand all of the html jargon!
Why do you blog?
I love doing reviews and hosting giveaways. I’ve also met some great people through blogging. I love having a place to record my thoughts and feelings and even vent sometimes! 🙂
What is the purpose of your blog?
I provide a resource for parents and moms to turn to. Whether it’s talking about postpartum depression, mommyhood, products to use, places to go, recipes to make..you find them here. I want my site to be a site that people WANT to go to! 🙂
Do you have any blogging tips (i.e. from those getting started to those who have been blogging longer than you)?
Do lots of research and get to know other bloggers. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. I’ve had other bloggers help me and have helped other bloggers. In my mind, it’s the whole idea of paying it forward!
Are you married? If so, how long?
I am married to a wonderful man and we’ll be celebrating our 10th Anniversary this November!
Do you have children? If so, how many?
I have 3 boys – full of love and energy! I love them so much!
What is your favorite movie of all time?
I love the movie “Sleepless in Seattle” and “Captain Ron.” There are tons more, but I can’t think of them right now 🙂
Who is your favorite actor?
I love Matthew McConaughey
What is your favorite dessert?
Chocolate Cake with lots of chocolate frosting
What is your favorite holiday?
It’s a tie between Thanksgiving and Christmas – I love that time of year in general!
And of course, you know me, there has to be a chocolate question. What is your favorite candy bar?
I LOVE Milky Way and Twix – yummy! and Peanut M&Ms (and Dove Chocolates) – ok ok – chocolate is general – lol!
